I think the shower-cam is probably a good idea. Just make sure that it's hard wired and not wireless, otherwise the nosy kids next door might be able to hack into your feed and watch your wife, too. You want to avoid that. Plus, wired cameras cost less and are more reliable.

You might have to buy an expensive aftermarket lens cover that has an anti-fog coating, because the steam from the shower is going to fog up that lens big-time. Having an IR option would be nice, too, in case she tries to avoid detection by turning off the lights and using candles.

Original Poster, have you thought about setting up a camera in the shower to moniter her actions? This is what I would do.
