If you ask me, we have been far to easy on the women folk.
Why do the need electricity or candles for that matter. They can read the Bible during day light hours and sleep when it gets dark.
Did Jesus have a blow up raft to sleep on, NO, she should be grateful for some straw. For goodness sakes man quit treating her like a child.

Well considering we live in Canada, I don't think she'd make it through the winter without electricity and a space heater. She also has a cot and winter sleeping bag out there.

From what I have been told the women in Canada are of hardy stock, they give birth on ice floes . I guess you are not as tough as I thought! I will cross Canadians off my list of potential brides.

I guess I believe that there is more to the Bible. If you loved your wife, you would allow her to stay in your/her house. No matter what circumstances. God would forgive you.

You believe God forgives everything?

I believe in God, I pray to God, I read the Bible, what els could make you 'more' of a Christian? I know you do not state this but you sure are implying it.

There is no implication, friend. It is clearly stated that every who "believes only" will not be accepted into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Brother Jedediah, do you perhaps have a garage she could stay in? Or even a basement or attic?

Keeping her separate doesn't necessarily mean she can't be in a part of your house; just not part you're going to be in during her unclean time.

Perhaps, instead of building her a glamorous menstrual shack -- frankly, that could cause her to become prideful, if it's nicer than the one Earl built for his wife -- it would make more sense to create a menstrual suite inside your house. I imagine it'd be more cost effective a solution, as it would already have electricity, heat, and (depending on your layout) an existing bathroom.

We don't have a basement, and the attic is just a crawl space. I would be receptive to having her stay in the garage, but I'm afraid she'd sit on things and make my tools and truck and workbench unclean. Her original hut was a re-purposed tool shed in the back corner of our land. Earl's wife's hut has septic and electricity, so I wouldn't be outdoing that.

We have two bathrooms for me and my five sons, so I'm afraid there isn't one to spare just for her. Talk about something that would make her prideful! She'd be running all over town boasting to all the womenfolk, and we know what James 3:5 says about that:

Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

Rebekah actually seemed rather upbeat this morning when I spoke with her through the screen door. She says she is feeling closer to God by making sacrifices in order to obey his Word. By staying under the tarp through the storm this weekend, her faith will be made even more steadfast.

Well, like the title says... my wife's menstrual hut burned down last night, and the timing could not have been any worse. Rebekah gave birth to our fifth son last month, and her womb is going about its business of wasting eggs and bleeding all over the place during this period of inactivity. (As part of our agreement, Rebekah gets three months rest before we conceive again, as long as she bears me a son.)

So since the hut has been in disuse for many months until yesterday, it was a bit of a mess. There was a termite problem. Something had chewed off the end of the extension cord, so there was no electricity. Rebekah was reading the Bible by candlelight and fell asleep without putting it out, and the towel over the window caught fire. So in the middle of the night, she comes screaming and banging on the back door like some overgrown, overexcited hen. I told her to go wait in the woods and to be sure not to sit on anything but the ground, so as not to make objects in our yard likewise unclean.

My buddy Earl and I had the fire put out by about 4am, but it's a total loss. In a way, this is a good thing because I am so proud of Rebekah for being such wonderful help-meet that I was planning on building her a new menstrual hut anyways, complete with an electrical drop and a hookup to the septic tank. This just gives me a good reason to finally get off my duff and get 'ir done. On the other hand, Rebekah does not have a good place to sleep in the meantime. She ended up finishing off the night on a tarp in the woods, but they're saying a storm might be coming through later this week.

She can't stay in the house though. Leviticus 15:19-24 is very clear on this:

And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.
And whosoever toucheth her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
And whosoever toucheth any thing that she sat upon shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the even.
And if it be on her bed, or on any thing whereon she sitteth, when he toucheth it, he shall be unclean until the even.

Earl says she can stay in his wife's menstrual hut, but his wife is also on her unclean time. I can't find any prohibitions in Scripture, but something just seems wrong about two bleeding, hormonal women spending the night together.

My advice, both of you become Muslim. We treat our women with kindness, compassion and love. We talk to them, treat them as people. Not treat them like animals as you do.

Brother I have to tell you that you are being to kind to her. When I built our home in Freehold, I had a 30'x 30' garden/ menstrual shed built at the rear of the lot.I had water and electricity ran to it . A full INDOOR bathroom with a small kitchen(I wont miss a meal ). I purchased a surplus Army cot for my wife, heck I even put a wood burning fire place in it. I gave her a brand new ax and all the wood she needed. She even had a small black and white TV so she could watch the 700 club. What did my kindness get me, nothing she ran off with two nigras.I can assure you that I will not be so kind to my next wife! I have removed all of the luxuries from the shed. From now on its 4 walls, no heat, a garden hose for water and 3 bales of straw to sleep on.

Obviously it would have been much nicer if his wife had burned to death, so that he wasn't put to the inconvenience of trying to find a tarp for her to sleep under. Just in case you didn't get it, I was being sarcastic there.
Op- how about you give her some sanitary towels, and if you're still that bothered, let her sleep in the spare room. You can wash the sheets afterwards
