Way to duck the question, pal. In the extremely unlikely event that you keep reading in Deuteronomy chapter 22 to the end, you'll find this:

Deuteronomy 22:28-29: If a man find a damsel [that is] a virgin, which is not betrothed, and lay hold on her, and lie with her, and they be found; Then the man that lay with her shall give unto the damsel's father fifty [shekels] of silver, and she shall be his wife; because he hath humbled her, he may not put her away all his days.

But I guess that doesn't fit into your cafeteria Christianity.

Ephesians 5:22: Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

If we agree with God's Word, and you don't, then the simple fact is that we are right and that you are wrong. If you don't approve of what the Bible says, take it up with the Lord.

We are trying to get to you believe the Word of God (all of it, not just those parts that you like). Who made you the ultimate authority on which verses of the Bible we should follow and which we should pretend don't exist?
