Jesus clearly admits that women are property in this parable.

Matthew 18:25 But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made.

Paul writes that women are subservient to men.

Ephesians 5:22-23 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

Not since the 1970's. I happen to agree with this philosophy. I don't hit my wife. I merely walk into the room and scream at her at 4 in the morning banging a pot to make me breakfast. Then, I make her run two miles. I don't want her getting flabby.

Love and nourishment includes discipline and providing for her like a child or a dog. You love a child or a puppy, but you don't let them do whatever they want.

You are comparing a woman, a wife, (even a child) to the same standard of a dog... just because they are not men or are still small does not mean they are any less human than you or I. The last time I checked women and children were considered homo sapiens too, not animals at the level of pets.
