Ok first of all you have overwatch all wrong. I am a strong believer in Jesus. And when you spell almost all the names wrong i cant tell if you are doing it on purpose or not, but do you really need to think the way you do you are thinking of this all wrong.(just so u know i have over 100 hours in overwatch). Since Overwatch could be considered an alternate universe, Christianity as a religion might not even exist within it. And if it does, I don't really care too much who is and isn't Christian - and I consider myself pretty devout about my own faith. It's just not relevant. Unless it became important to the plot somehow, which I can't see happening. The Shambali are more important plot-wise for sure.


But if someone is, my first guesses would be Mercy or Reinhardt. Because Mercy is so staunchly pacifist, and Reinhardt is so traditional and crusader-ish.

Ok so I don't care about your view on the game or anything. Everyone has a right to an opinion(even if it is dead wrong). No, I am more upset about the fact that you are misinterpreting Neon Genesis Evangelion. You see, Evangelion is a JAPANESE animation, not chinese. Second, despite the fact that you have obviously either seen or read up on it you get the main idea behind the series wrong. Shinji for one isn't gay, he has romantic tension with asuka and Rei. Also the Eva are not giant robots, they are live beings created from an alien that crashed to earth, therefore they are effectively clones. Although the beings are referred to as "angels" this is only due to that fact that they appear from above(the sky/space). And lastly Shinji isn't trying to become god, due to certain circumstances created by his father. He pilots Unit 01 dubbed the test unit for it is the only one cloned from lilith instead of adam as all other Evas are. This grants Unit 01 some special talents such as a "beserker mode" that grants it a halo, extra limbs, insane regenerative abilities, and wings of light.

In case you weren't aware, Evangelion is full of references to the bible. The core problem the characters attempt to overcome is the instrumentality project in which all people come together and there is everlasting peace, sounds great right, well what if I tell you that meant you had to literally come together with everyone in the world as in becoming one person, now it's not so great. Shinji sees the problem with his fathers plan and attempts to stop it. In the ending of the show(not movies) Shinji chokes Asuka. The meaning behind this is unclear and there are many theories on what it means, my favorite is that it put simply was so that Shinji could come to terms with the fact that he is still himself.

Now why did I go into this much detail over something as small as this when the original post is of overwatch, well that is because this isn't the first I've seen of religious nuts going crazy over a game and trying to find any reason to ban it. I just don't want one of my personally favorite shows to be compared to some korean pompous pro-gamer, and that's what D.VA is, a PRO-GAMER, she is supposed to sit and play games all day that is literally how she makes a living.
