Well, quite the interesting conversation here. Um....well, where to start. Firstly, I will admit there are things in certain video games that are violent, suggestive, and sexual. However, Mario is not one of them. To misconstrue a add for a Nintendo Wii game such as this is ludicrous. I'm not going to repeat the explanations that can be found on the first page as I don't want to repeat a bunch of stuff that has been said already. But I will say that it's a very very far stretch to think of those things in the Mario sluggers game to be homosexual in intent. And to have a human-like monkey? It's called anthropomorphism. Putting human characteristics on a non-human object/thing. People go to great lengths to believe in the things they 'want' to believe in rather than thinking through things logically. This particular ad as I can see it says anything about the things that were perpetrated.

Also, to think that the Wii is an abomination is rediculous. It does not vibrate, it has no resemblence to genitalia. It does not miraculously give someone 'weird' feelings in the stomachs. It is a gaming console. A piece of equipment to entertain you. Nothing else.

Hi, I'm Mary. I'm from Texas.
I have engaged in Wii activity with my friends recently. I feel like I have sinned, and I feel like I need to get it off my chest. What better place to do it than here?
First off, I'd like to let everyone know that I'm a Christian, and have been going to church every Sunday sense I can remember. I am very devout and proud of my religion!
My parents always warned me about the Wii and other game systems of the same nature, but last week while I was at my friend Cindy's house, I gave in to peer pressure. I know it was wrong, but the way Cindy talked about it, it seemed so fun and harmless, so ultimately, I gave in.
It was a very strange sensation, playing Wii. As soon as the game started, I got this strange feeling in my stomach. It we kind of like when you are on a roller coaster and you're going down a really big hill. It wasn't a bad feeling, might I add. I asked Cindy about what was going on, but she said it was normal, so foolishly I continued playing the game. As the game progressed, the feeling in my abdomen grew stronger and more powerful. I started breathing more quickly and suddenly a rush of... well, I don't really know what to call it... excitement I guess? went through my body. I fell onto the floor, overwhelmed. I felt quite odd... good... weird... I don't really know what it was I was feeling, but then Cindy ran over to me to see what was wrong. I told her that I didn't know, and she tried to comfort me. She began stroking my hair and telling me that everything was going to be OK. I believed her, and exhausted from the feelings i had experienced earlier, fell asleep in her arms. When I woke up, I was laying next to Cindy in her bed. She was propped up on her elbow, caressing my shoulder. I asked her what was going on, but she just said not to worry about it. But I did worry. I gathered all of my things and quickly ran back home. I don't know what happened to me at Cindy's house, but I feel so wrong about it, and like I have sinned and disappointed my God. I don't know what to do, and I really need some advice here.
The worst part of this whole ordeal is that.... I really want to go back over to Cindy's house and play Wii again...
I don't know what to make of this experience, or what to do!
Please guide me.
