You're all a bunch of raving lunatics. Green Day is a band that figured out the simple fact that controversy (like a bunch of fanatical Christians getting angry on a message board) sells records. Their major label debut has sold 18 million copies, and if you think this is helping, you couldn't be more wrong.

Now I've listened to Green Day, but I'm not an obsessed fan. And I know that it's really just a few middle aged men getting "angry" for liberal causes. This is threatening our youth? I think what is actually threatening our youth is a group of people who instead of preaching goodness, kindness and acceptance are showing young people how to close their minds, hate, and fear. You are the ones that are contributing to violent reaction in young people, not a commercialized "punk" band.

As far as I'm concerned, Christianity is the religion which caused the Dark Ages, discourages scientific progress, and who has some of the most radical extremists in the world. I'm not actually Muslim, like my name would suggest, in fact I'm a middle class White American from Delaware. But I know that while Islam has it's terrorist camps, Christianity has militia groups around the country who have resorted to violence to prove a moot point.

Finally, if you want to go to "heaven", that's fine. Go ahead. But let other people make their own decisions. Seriously. Like let it go and be happy with the fact that you've got it all figured out. Until you die and become nothing, that is.

The reason why teenagers today are so screwed up has nothing to do with the music that we listen to! Yes I will admit to self-harming and wearing eyeliner - but at no point EVER has the music I listen to encouraged this - I do it because I LIKE IT! Green Day are not satanic or metal, and have written some of the most beautiful songs EVER!

They also do a lot of charity work for global warming and poverty in third world countries. They dont piffle around sleeping with other people and beating their wives - they are great husbands and fathers.
