I prefer Egyptian cotton myself.

Cotton is great on a warm summer evening, much cooler than the mixed polyester/viscose, wool/linen or nylon/acrylic stuff available in "surf" shops - shops which are open on Sundays promoting their wares with "fun activities" such as go-go dancing competitions, beach-hunk oiling and wet T-shirt displays.

I was looking for some new satanic music to listen to and I stumbled on your forum. Was hoping someone here could introduce me to some new bands.

I really like Danzig, Burzum, Between the Buried and Me, Deicide, Cannibal Corpse, Dying Fetus, and (one of my favorites) cooterlly Penetrating an Amelus with a Musty Carrot.

Any new leads in the right direction for great satanic speed/death metal would great!

No I'm not trying to flame anyone. Im fact I saw this as a Christian sight and desided to join, because I enjoy being around other Christians.
Please don't say I was being an "ass" I was simply sharing my story into Christian music this thread seems to be about music that sends people to hell, I guess I wanted to lighten it up a bit and share how I used to listen to some pretty bad stuff, but the lord helped me to change.
Also, I posted that I never really got into Skilllet. I think they are just using the Christian part for publicity. But I have seen bands that mean what they say. In both music and actions.
And please don't say church of god is satanic eIther, I will read your links but I must say that I have been in many, MANY, different churches over the years. Methodist, babtist, penticostal and church of god, which I am currently going to. I must say they all were great experiences in faith. They are all surprisingly more alike than you may think. In fact, I would go to any of them if asked. The reason I go to a church of God church is because the music and sermon just make me wont to dance and sing and praise the lord even more. Plus the preacher preachea in ways both younger people can understand, and in a way that older generations can relate with. He is a vary good man. Thank you for the insite nonetheless.

Of course, I didn't mean that in the literal since, but the conscience that God has given to me helps me see more clearly when things are wrong or sinful. I guess I'm not explaining very well, but I can usually tell when something will hurt me or my relationship with the lord. That is how I knew to ask for forgiveness of the sins I did commit. I am still by no means perfect, but I feel that I am closer to God than I used to be. I guess I should give an example.
A few years ago I started listening to a band called Slipknot. Surely you've heard of them (they are certainly not a godly buch of people) when I researched them I found some disturbing things. I honestly liked the sound of the music, but I didn't like the things the believed or said. I told my pastor about this band and he told me I was correct and they are as bad as I thought. He told if I liked that kind of music I should check out Christian alternatives, like skillet or his own Christian rock band that he has become apart of (the name of his band is Cornerstone if anyone would like to check it out)But needles to say I believe god gave me these feelings to show me the way to god and to find out how sinful they truly were, and I thank him every day for that, because if it werent for his signs I not only could very well be lost, but I also would have never found the wonderful music I love today.

The demoniacs "Skillet" have been covered before. There is no such thing as a Christian rock band. It's one OR the other. NEVER both.

I'd have your "pastor" down as a wallet piranha at this stage. Sure, your perceptions and your subjective "feelings" are not the same thing. What I think about a vase of flowers has very little to do with the vase/flowers themselves, much more to do with my experiences and associated memories (of flowers) (or vases) and how I respond "o what a lovely bunch of flowers thank you for bringing them I'll put them in a vase" really has nothing to do with the flowers at all. To the secular pseudoscience of behaviourism my response to the gift is the response of an automaton and the way I behave is never a choice: bevaviours are always and only responses.

Oh no I am by no means saying religion is just a feeling. Maybe I should stop using the word feelings to describe my conscience. Btw the man wasn't the actual church pastor, he was in the church and helped with youth events and such.
But I'm not sure if I follow why you say all rock is the work of Satan, I believe that as long as what you are singing is glorifying the lord and Jesus Christ.
Also, (kind of unrelated but you are the first person i have met) what are some good places on the forum for teenagers or around my age? (16). Or at least, where should I start looking?

Psychoacoustics is the study of how your inner ear reacts to sound. The reaction of your nervous systen to music is even more specialised (look up neuromusicology if you're interested, you'll probably find something). Some sounds have very negative effects and severely compromise neurological function. An application of these phenomena would be in burglar alarm design, for example. The sounds used in such applications are not neutral. They are very specific and chosen for their effect on behaviour (the behaviour of burglars in that case). It is possible to produce sounds so dreadful that the nervous system hearing them aborts all motor function and concentrates on the single objective of running away.

One reason for this is due to the proportional structure of neurons. When sounds have a very specific relationship to the structure of neurons, very specific effects can be achieved - in the case of a behaviourist those effects would be described in terms of how they affect behaviour.

Satanic musicians study those applications of sound, especially the metal genres. The area they'd need to look at would be the proportional structure of musical scales - and they DO investigate that and DO incorporate it into their music and DO say that that is what they do and DO tell you what they have achieved (Black Sabbath for example). You have no more choice in the matter than whether you'd be poisoned by arsenic tea.

Thanks for replying so soon. I will definitely check it out. It may not seem like it but I try to do a little research about, well, just about anything that could effect my faith. I believe the lord has given me a pretty strong conscience. If something feels odd or wrong about something I'll do some research to see if my fears are true and it usually is correct. For the sake of this topic I'll say that I use to listen to the band Muse. Some of their songs admittedly made me feel... Wrong somewhat. example: the song hysteria by muse. I felt that everytime I heard it the lyrics just haunted me slightly. I don't listen to them much at all now, I found other music of the same genre that didn't make me feel that way like incubus and Coldplay. Nonetheless I just wanted to share my story of music with you guys. I joined because I would like to be a part of a forum that promotes Christianity instead of Insulting it. (btw sorry for the long posts)
