sounds like to me your "judging" isn't that a sin? maybe you should look at your own life before you go after others! Maybe another trip to the alter is in order Pastor! Plus instead of talking about them if you have issues pray about the situation instead of casting stones.

The root definition of the word 'Christian' is 'Christ-like," and I have seen very little, if any Christ-like posts in this thread. How can we presume to call ourselves Christians, or True Christians, if we cannot be Christ-like? How can we show the love of Jesus to the masses if all we do is judge others unduly, proclaim false witness, and speak harshly towards others? How can others come to know Jesus if we shut our door to them (specifically referring to the "unsaved unwelcome" tag)? My friends, it is un-Christian of us to judge, insult, berate, curse and demean other people (yes, even people with differing opinions), but that is all I have seen in this thread, from the very first post. As believers, we have a duty and an obligation to hold ourselves to a higher regard, and to be accountable for our actions - as we are God's ambassadors to the rest of the world. How do you think this thread would appear to someone who is wanting to learn more about the love of Jesus? Would that person find the love of Jesus in this thread? The answer to those questions is a resounding 'no.'

That is, if they weren't immediately turned away by the "unsaved unwelcome" sign hanging from the door. I wonder, then, how people are going to be saved if they're not welcome in the church? There cannot be a greater disservice done to both believer and non-believer if the believer turns their back upon the non-believing. Jesus spent a lot of time with the sinners of his day, not just with his disciples. Jesus did not shut anyone away, so why should we? I feel that I must quote Mark 2:15-17 - "And it came to pass, that, as Jesus sat at meat in his house, many publicans and sinners sat also together with Jesus and his disciples: for there were many, and they followed him. And when the scribes and Pharisees saw him eat with publicans and sinners, they said unto his disciples, How is it that he eateth and drinketh with publicans and sinners? When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

I truly hope that we can come to be respectful towards one another, even if our opinions on some things differ. I truly hope that we can be less judgmental and stereotypical towards others, because that, friends, is a sin. We must love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Name calling, judging, cursing and using hateful language at each other on this forum is not loving our neighbors.
Yes we must love our neighbours but you do know that Jesus said this isn't everyone don't you?

In Jesus's own example most people were not deserving of love.

What do you think about Jesus telling us to hate?

Privacy is not a Christian concept. "Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do." Hebrews 4:13.

Are we completely ignoring Luke 6:27-38?

“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you. If someone slaps you on one cheek, turn to them the other also. If someone takes your coat, do not withhold your shirt from them. Give to everyone who asks you, and if anyone takes what belongs to you, do not demand it back. Do to others as you would have them do to you.
“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them. And if you do good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. And if you lend to those from whom you expect repayment, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, expecting to be repaid in full. But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High, because he is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful.
“Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”

What's in my browsing history? Let's see, Star Trek, Hulu, Serenity, Galactic Water Cooler, Star Wars, XBOX, Sound Cloud and NFL. Oh, it looks like I did some holiday shopping for my wife at Target and Bed Bath and Beyond. Yeah, I'm a horrible, horrible person.

There's also not an actual way you can secure my browsing history remotely, unless you have a VPN or RDC connection to my computer, which you do not. (and if you did, it would be horribly obvious because I'd have to grant you said access, and I'd see all of the actions you are performing). Logging my ISP doesn't give you information in regards to current or previous web searches. Unless, of course, you're performing a binary root data pull that's not authorized by my computer's security (but that would be illegal unless you had a search warrant or court order, so I'm pretty sure that's off the menu). So you can take your empty threats, judgments and preconceived notions and place them elsewhere.

                          Dear Jim Osbourn,

It is highly interesting that in the very last paragraph of your ranting on Ghost Hunters, that you lable those people who you want to convert as "DIMWITTED & GULLIBLE!" How dare you judge them as to how intelligent they are that have not yet been converted to Christ. God chooses the meek and the humble to do HIS work for HIS glory, not yours.

Take a step off the pulpit and look in the mirror.

                          Thank you for your time.

Here is a prayer for our enemies, taken from the Bible:

Let their table become a snare before them: and that which should have been for their welfare, let it become a trap.

Let their eyes be darkened, that they see not; and make their loins continually to shake.

Pour out thine indignation upon them, and let thy wrathful anger take hold of them.

Let their habitation be desolate; and let none dwell in their tents.

For they persecute him whom thou hast smitten; and they talk to the grief of those whom thou hast wounded.

Add iniquity unto their iniquity: and let them not come into thy righteousness.

Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and not be written with the righteous.

First off let me say, Thank you that you are all so passionate about speaking. Thank you that you all feel convicted in your own path to speak. Thank you God that we all have been given such breathtaking choices and rights to speak and be heard.
It is in that right to be heard given to me by God with the freedom found in the home I live in and access to this forum as it is in the Constitution written by our forefathers that I choose to speak now.
I have read all the comments on this board and the one thing that comes back to me is sadness. Sadness that we would feel the right to forget the true commandment given to us by God. That being the commandment to love.
                              Mark 12:29-31

29-31Jesus said, "The first in importance is, 'Listen, Israel: The Lord your God is one; so love the Lord God with all your passion and prayer and intelligence and energy.' And here is the second: 'Love others as well as you love yourself.' There is no other commandment that ranks with these."

I am happy to see that the first commandment is observed here.. No doubt about it, you love God. I love that. I love that you love God.. but it seems in what I read that we have forgotten the second part: how to love our neighbor. Yes I read that there is an idea of who your neighbor is but Jesus died for all of us. Not just the saved. His grace is for all.

                              Luke 10

                              Defining "Neighbor"

25Just then a religion scholar stood up with a question to test Jesus. "Teacher, what do I need to do to get eternal life?" 26He answered, "What's written in God's Law? How do you interpret it?"
27He said, "That you love the Lord your God with all your passion and prayer and muscle and intelligence—and that you love your neighbor as well as you do yourself."
28"Good answer!" said Jesus. "Do it and you'll live."
29Looking for a loophole, he asked, "And just how would you define 'neighbor'?"
30-32Jesus answered by telling a story. "There was once a man traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho. On the way he was attacked by robbers. They took his clothes, beat him up, and went off leaving him half-dead. Luckily, a priest was on his way down the same road, but when he saw him he angled across to the other side. Then a Levite religious man showed up; he also avoided the injured man.
33-35"A Samaritan traveling the road came on him. When he saw the man's condition, his heart went out to him. He gave him first aid, disinfecting and bandaging his wounds. Then he lifted him onto his donkey, led him to an inn, and made him comfortable. In the morning he took out two silver coins and gave them to the innkeeper, saying, 'Take good care of him. If it costs any more, put it on my bill—I'll pay you on my way back.'
36"What do you think? Which of the three became a neighbor to the man attacked by robbers?"
37"The one who treated him kindly," the religion scholar responded.
Jesus said, "Go and do the same."

He hung out with sinners. If he spent all his time chastising them I cannot believe they would find their way to loving him so completely that they would turn their back on their ways and follow him. He loved them and lived a life that showed it that they fell in love with him and turned their backs on their former lives.

How do we in our words show this love for each other as He would in order to love them to God?
                              Matthew 7

                              A Simple Guide for Behavior

1-5 "Don't pick on people, jump on their failures, criticize their faults— unless, of course, you want the same treatment. That critical spirit has a way of boomeranging. It's easy to see a smudge on your neighbor's face and be oblivious to the ugly sneer on your own. Do you have the nerve to say, 'Let me wash your face for you,' when your own face is distorted by contempt? It's this whole traveling road-show mentality all over again, playing a holier-than-thou part instead of just living your part. Wipe that ugly sneer off your own face, and you might be fit to offer a washcloth to your neighbor
                              1 Corinthians 4:14
I'm not writing all this as a neighborhood scold just to make you feel rotten. I'm writing as a father to you, my children. I love you and want you to grow up well, not spoiled. There are a lot of people around who can't wait to tell you what you've done wrong, but there aren't many fathers willing to take the time and effort to help you grow up. It was as Jesus helped me proclaim God's Message to you that I became your father. I'm not, you know, asking you to do anything I'm not already doing myself.

                              I leave you with this:
                              Romans 14:13-23

13-14Forget about deciding what's right for each other. Here's what you need to be concerned about: that you don't get in the way of someone else, making life more difficult than it already is. I'm convinced—Jesus convinced me!—that everything as it is in itself is holy. We, of course, by the way we treat it or talk about it, can contaminate it.
15-16If you confuse others by making a big issue over what they eat or don't eat, you're no longer a companion with them in love, are you? These, remember, are persons for whom Christ died. Would you risk sending them to hell over an item in their diet? Don't you dare let a piece of God-blessed food become an occasion of soul-poisoning!
17-18God's kingdom isn't a matter of what you put in your stomach, for goodness' sake. It's what God does with your life as he sets it right, puts it together, and completes it with joy. Your task is to single-mindedly serve Christ. Do that and you'll kill two birds with one stone: pleasing the God above you and proving your worth to the people around you.
19-21So let's agree to use all our energy in getting along with each other. Help others with encouraging words; don't drag them down by finding fault. You're certainly not going to permit an argument over what is served or not served at supper to wreck God's work among you, are you? I said it before and I'll say it again: All food is good, but it can turn bad if you use it badly, if you use it to trip others up and send them sprawling. When you sit down to a meal, your primary concern should not be to feed your own face but to share the life of Jesus. So be sensitive and courteous to the others who are eating. Don't eat or say or do things that might interfere with the free exchange of love.
22-23Cultivate your own relationship with God, but don't impose it on others. You're fortunate if your behavior and your belief are coherent. But if you're not sure, if you notice that you are acting in ways inconsistent with what you believe—some days trying to impose your opinions on others, other days just trying to please them—then you know that you're out of line. If the way you live isn't consistent with what you believe, then it's wrong.

let them be won over with love.. as Jesus did for us. It took great love to die on the cross for us. Is there anyone who has responded that you would do the same for? I would, if God called me to die for you, though I may not believe or stand behind what you say, if He called me to lay down my life for you, I would. Because all I truly have to give you is my love for you that was given to me by Him. And I am grateful to have that to give.
Therefore let us not judge one another anymore, but rather resolve this, not to put a stumbling block or a cause to fall in our brother’s way. (14) I know and am convinced by the Lord Jesus that there is nothing unclean of itself; but to him who considers anything to be unclean, to him it is unclean. (15) Yet if your brother is grieved because of your food, you are no longer walking in love. Do not destroy with your food the one for whom Christ died. (16) Therefore do not let your good be spoken of as evil; (17) for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. (18) For he who serves Christ in these things is acceptable to God and approved by men. (19) Therefore let us pursue the things which make for peace and the things by which one may edify another. (20) Do not destroy the work of God for the sake of food. All things indeed are pure, but it is evil for the man who eats with offense. (21) It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother stumbles or is offended or is made weak. (22) Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. (23) But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin. Romans 14:13-23
First, Do Not Put A Stumbling Block Before Your Brother (vv. 13 & 21). Even though we have been given great freedom in Christ, we should never abuse that freedom by allowing our actions to be a stumbling block to a weaker brother.

Second, Do Not Destroy Your Brother (vv. 15 & 20). Paul here draws a contrast between being one who destroys and one who edifies. As believers who have strong faith, we are to be on God’s construction crew (edification – “build up”) instead of the demolition crew (destruction – “destroy”). The importance of having this proper attitude is highlighted by the terms used to describe the weaker brother in these verses. He is called both “the one for whom Christ died” and “the work of God.” How could we destroy such a one with our lack of consideration?

Third, Do Not Allow Your Freedom to Be Viewed as Evil (vv. 16-20). If we misuse our freedom to the end that some who are weak are destroyed then that which is “good” (our freedom) will be viewed as evil. We have turned a positive into a negative. This should not be!

Finally, Do Not Flaunt Your Liberty (vv. 21-23). Paul here basically says, “If you have freedom, good for you! Have it before God, but don’t flaunt it in front of weaker believers who might be led to violate their conscience because of your example.”
                              Conclusion:
We must take people where they are, but we don’t leave them there. We want to provide loving instruction so that believers become “strong.” But in the meantime, we must be sensitive to their sensitivities out of love for them!

Our goal should be to see all of our fellow believers strong in the faith in order that they might not violate their conscience in matters that are indifferent and might experience the fullness of their liberty in Christ. But in the meantime, we have a responsibility to not do anything which could cause one of our weaker brothers to stumble. http://pastorsteveweaver.wordpress.c...omans-1413-23/

It is highly interesting that in the very last paragraph of your ranting on Ghost Hunters, that you lable those people who you want to convert as "DIMWITTED & GULLIBLE!"hank you for your time.
                                How is this inaccurate?

These are people who think that dead people are talking to them. How ridiculous can they get?

The Bible clearly states that the dead are unknowing; therefore, there can be no such things as "ghosts":

                                Ecclesiastes 9:4-6

4 For to him that is joined to all the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.

5 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not any thing, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten.

6 Also their love, and their hatred, and their envy, is now perished; neither have they any more a portion for ever in any thing that is done under the sun.
So what would you call people who believe in nonsense like "ghosts"?
                                Bible boring? Nonsense!
