Witchcraft, sorcery and necromancy are all serious sins.

A man also or woman that hath a familiar spirit, or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.

Thank you for sharing that Scripture, Pastor. It isn't posted nearly enough.

After all, how often do the Unsaved Trash show up to tell us that "no, 'witch' is a mistranslation, it should say 'poisoner'"?

Even if they were correct, in that instance, this Scripture you share still results in witches not being suffered to live.

I'm guessing the answer is always, "It's not." There's nothing to sort out because it's all people's imaginations getting carried away while dreaming there is some supernatural force out there that isn't God.

I read with interest your comments on this subject, and while I don't disagree with your views on the matter, I have to question some of the statments you made. For one you call the members of Ghost Adventure crew gay. Do you know this to be a fact or are you assuming they are such, because two of the members are married and have kids. While they do tend to have what people call the metro look, something I personally don't care for, to make such assumptions about someone and to accuse them of such an outrageous sinful lifestyle without anything other than you personal opnion based upon how they dress to base said statements on does nothing for the cause of Christ, in fact if anything it hurts it. Neither does calling people who are members of ghost hunting groups "dimwitted" and "gullibul" isn't going to win many people to Christ. It comes off as condescending and mean spirited, to say that they are deceived and are being misled would likely not make them happy, but it at least doesn't come off as mean spirited.

Just because gay "marriage" is legal in some states does NOT make them married in the eyes of God

First of all. Reverend, you out of most people here in this forum should not be judgmental of others. If I remember it clearly. The good Lord above, loves each and everyone of us. For he has created each and every one to his image. Some of us may rebel against him and some of us may not. I agree that just as God is everywhere, Satan is as well. Now, with that said. Gay, straight, bisexual, transexual or not. We all are a humans, some of us aware of the bible and others not so much. I am completely disappointed to have read this shameful and hatred filled post of yours. You are supposed to be a pure example to follow, an example that flourishes God's love to EVERYONE. But in here you are doing much worse. Educate yourself more, pray and ask the Lord for forgiveness. Instead of bringing the people closer to the Lord, you are pushing them away. Why is it I say this? Well because, those of us who have considered attending service and open up our hearts are astonished to see the amounts of hate and despise "divine" churches are portraying. I don't know what is worst anymore; incest or churches, run by people as you. Churches where their originally intent is to bring their congregation closer to God. A place of worship for the Lord Almighty, a place of love, respect and faith. But nowadays, all we have are greedy individuals who all they intend to do is benefit from the congregation one way or another. Whether it be financially or by spreading venom. Shame on you, may the Lord forgive you when you repent from the bottom of your heart. God Bless.

Welcome to our friendly forums! It's nice to have you here!

I have to admit, I'm a bit confused by your statement, dear. From where did you get the idea the LORD loves each and every one of us? Are you of the impression the Old Testament somehow doesn't count? That God was just kidding when He dictated it? That He wasn't serious? Why do you think He put such emphasis on obedience? Consider what He says in Deuteronomy:

Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations
                  Deuteronomy 7:9

You and I may rejoice in that wonderful promise. A thousand generations is no small amount of time! But there is a condition here about which we cannot bargain: "God...keepeth covenant...WITH THEM THAT LOVE HIM AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS."

Do you see dear? There is a requirement necessary in order to experience this love and mercy - love Him and keep His commandments.

                  Not "everyone," dear.

Let's look at what Jesus says:

He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
                  John 14:21

Do you see? "HE THAT HATH MY COMMANDMENTS, AND KEEPETH THEM... AND I WILL LOVE HIM."

                  Not "everyone," dear.

Those who love Him first, and keep His commandments.

All of the commandments, dear (James 2:10).

Are you quite sure, dear? I'm no Biblical scholar, and I certainly am no ordained preacher, but are you sure it wasn't Adam who was created in God's image, and Adam's son created in Adam's image, therefore, created to sin? Otherwise why do humans sin (Genesis 5:3)? Otherwise, why do we need a Redeemer (Romans 6:23)?

What a heartfelt reply! It's really too bad you have such little idea (if any) about who God is. Just who are you bringing people closer to? It certainly isn't the God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It seems to me, until you figure out just who God is, you have no idea what He wants.

Try reading the Bible, dear. All of it. Slowly. Carefully. With an open heart.
