Why I choose to respond? Well, I play Minecraft. There, now accuse me of being homosexual and any other bad words you can throw at me. Why does simply playing a GAME make a person evil? This is all kind of extremist, if you ask me.

This so called video game “Minecraft” is a “game” unlike any other. Imbued in its dark origins are filthy, perverted sex parts that are designed to subliminally influence our children to abandon morality, decency, and honor in order to embark down a life of sin, depravity, and Satanism.

So...the game being about blocks or something: The key distinguishing thing about Minecraft is that it is all 'blockey' and that is what makes it unique. There are no circles or anything, just animals or blocks with sharp angles. Does a unique idea like that condemn the game?

Did it ever occur to you that perhaps there's a good reason why it is "unique"? It is unique in the sense that no other game up until this point has dared defy God in such a brazen and and unapologetic manner.

Also, you guys are assuming Minecraft to be some nest for pedophiles or something, but in reality, pedophiles are probably everywhere...Sure there are some parts of the game that are not that morally uptight, but they are not trying to ingrain any message into our brains.

Minecraft not only has pedophiles, but it enables them. That is the key difference. It allows pedophiles to hold hours of work and effort hostage in exchange for vile, wicked, perverted acts. It allows server administrators to track down the IP addresses of any child they choose to.

And I play Minecraft. Is that a big deal? Just because I play what I think is interesting does not make me screwed up as you all WILL say I am.

On an ending note, why do most of the forum members on this site make so many generalized assumptions? Someone who "Plays Minecraft" is not always homosexual. Sure, there can be homosexuals that play Minecraft, but there can also be homosexuals 'being a Christian.' I know many friends that are NOT AT ALL GAY and play Minecraft. It makes me sad how this 'game' is supposedly evil because of true facts that were distorted in a way as so the game seems bad... :*(

The key findings that came out of the study included that exposure to video games from the age of five was shown to have no effect on behaviour, attention or emotional issues. Neither television nor video games caused attentional or emotional problems and there was no difference between boys and girls in the survey results.

This "study" goes against everything the Bible teaches.

The Bible tells us we must diligently protect our heart from corrupting influences. If we fill our heart with violence and wickedness and perversion and sin, all that will come out eventually.

God in His grace has told us what to think. We need to fill our mind with what the Bible tells us are good things.

Phil 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Think on what is true -- for example, the Bible, God, angels and heaven. Think on what is just -- for example, homosexuals being put to death (Lev 20:13). Think on what is pure -- for example, abstinence. Think on what is of good report -- for example, how Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac (Heb 11:17-19; 39). If we think on these things, we will act on these things. Just look at any True Christian(tm) and you will see for yourself.

As the findings of your "study" conflict with the Word of God, I can confidently conclude that they are wrong.

How were the children monitored was it 11 000 children over 10 years, or was it 11 000 in ten years.

Either way the "data", and I use the word lightly, is wrong.

Minecraft. I have kids who had played minecraft since the beginning. They are now 18 and both of them are now at college studying technical design and the other studying at medical school. They go to church regularly, say their prayers everyday and before eating. We are good christians, but these threads, saying minecraft leads to hell? I don't believe it will, and there are plenty of game creators at Minecraft (Mojang), that are christian. Please re-think about the words said. God will always love all.
