I think it is a fun game. It is not mocking God. It has poor graphics because it started on a low budget and now it has just stuck like that. Genetically modified? It's a fake universe, also there is no referance to hell only that there is lava when you dig deep enough and if you fall in it you can jump back out again.
It's just a game. You can build what you want for fun, it's a standard independant video game. there is no referance to God anywhere or even hell! They call one place 'the nether' which was just a little Halloween thing for a laugh that they decided to keep as it included new items for the game.

It's been proven time and time again that sandboxes were designed with the intent to turn innocent, God-fearing Christian children into devil-worshiping Muslims!
