  • Re: Minecraft: Makes children sex slaves and destroys our economy

If we must not alter his holy word, then why are all the scripture references in english? Answer me that, my acquaintance, and I will surely be baffled. Nov specifically means new international version, a translation that uses different wordings but all and all have the exact same meaning.
To say I will go to hell for such, is exactly like saying you will go to hell for reading any English Bible, as the Bible was written mainly Hebrew and Greek, known as dead languages to our society.

By the by, read "your" James 3, and tell me what it means. Then judge.

1 John 5:7 (KJV) : For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.

1 John 5:7 (NIV) : For there are three that testify:

Now, do these say exactly the same thing? Not at all. As a matter of fact, why don't you scour your precious NIV for ANY support of a triune God? You won't find it...

They keep slowly editing the NIV to fit in with modern society, it has absolutely NOTHING to do with the word of God.

          it completely deletes verses

          The NIV Bible quiz

Just because you're public education left you too stupid to understand the A1611KJV, does not mean that you should not try to better yourself and actually try to learn. I was reading the KJV at the age of 6, and I wasn't some sort of prodigy, because my entire Sunday School class read from it. My own sons have been reading from it for a couple of years now and the oldest just turned 10.

So quit being lazy and read the REAL BIBLE!

Really? The NIV has the same meaning? Let's look at Isaiah 55 for example, since I happen to have it open now.

            NIV
10 As the rain and the snow
            come down from heaven,
and do not return to it
            without watering the earth

The theoretical water cycle, in other words.

            The KJV

10For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:

The NIV reader would come away with the impression that the water does return to the sky by its punctuation.

The KJV reader will come away with the fact that the water does not return to the sky.

Let's have a couple of tie breakers to see if we can't determine which one is right.

            Young's Literal Translation.

10For, as come down doth the shower, And the snow from the heavens, And thither returneth not, But hath watered the earth, And hath caused it to yield, and to spring up, And hath given seed to the sower, and bread to the eater,

            ESV

10 For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven
and do not return there but water the earth, making it bring forth and sprout,

That's just one small example of how the NIV attempts to twist the Word of God to modern ideas.

I muzt admit that the kjv explains common sense roles all too well. The only difference i read amongst the passagees are with kjv explaining that he water comes back to water our soil, or buds. Howeger you are avoiding my question....

I know this is off topic and that based on your username you are only 22, but what elementary school has taught you to spell "must" with a "z"? Sorry, but I won't be able to sleep at night knowing that secular public schools are that pathetic.

Really? Then you haven't read much. The NIV doesn't even agree with itself.

From the Translator notes for the NIV
The NIV is founded on the belief that if hearing God’s Word the way it was written
and understanding it the way it was meant were the hallmarks of the original reading experience, then accuracy
in translation demands that neither one of these two criteria be prioritized above the other.
So they vote on what the Bible really means, and continually rewrite it.

NIV2011 comparison with NIV1984 and TNIV

The new 2011 NIV is now Gender Neuteral, I guess Jesus was a hermaphrodite according to you liebral fuzzy bunny sinners?

In 25 years all sins will be gone and it will basically be "eat drink and be merry".

Are you ever in for a shock when you die.

Admirable as this is, I find it difficult to understand your excuse for poor spelling. Does using a phone somehow inhibit your ability to properly express yourself? If so, would it not be wise to use an alternative method for posting on this forum?

Regardless, I feel that BelieverInGod has made a more valid point than my petty qualms regarding the American language. I defer you to those comments and ask you pay no mind to my rather childish judgment of your lingual skills.

Miss, that was a completely sound call of judgment. Your username ends in 1989, most people of a lesser mind tend to select their birth year as part of their username to some how show individuality. This is simply a matter of mathematics: 2011-1989 = 22. You may be 21 if your birthday falls later than today's date, and if so I admit my error. I really don't see how that is a matter of hate, rather a matter of speculation.

I reiterate that you should respond to BelieverInGod and ignore my petty annoyances.

Seemingly the only guy I'm truely interested in talking to is to Pastor William. He at least has enough respect to not depict my text and bash it into me, nor is he throwing insults at me like a child. He and he only, is polite enough to have a general dispute. I have looked into all "40 missing verses" to actually find each one in my Bible. I took the test that was posted by another user and saw that wording was different. That's what happens when "shall" is replaced with "will" and "doth" with do, or similar results. my results did not match perfectly, but in very similar ideas in which you "might" call acceptable. Common sense plays a role in certain criteria aswell.

                            TRUE FACT I ACKNOWLEDGE
: Mark 16:9-20 is spread by a line, which states exactly as follows in the Bible on my desk, excluding quotes. "[The earliest manuscripts and some other ancient witnesses do not have mark 16:9-20.]"
The verses in themselves are there, meaning its in my Bible. It is not deleted. Some was altered to footnotes which I do find odd, annoying.. but its there. To say its not when it is, is a lie.

Welcome friend. How about you put down the penile shaped game controller for a minuter and let us reflect on what God would think. What you think really does not matter after all, this is His Earth, we are His creatures, aren't we?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
