Hello, I can see that there has been some misunderstanding regarding Team Fortress 2, as some people see it as homosexual or referencing false gods. For one, this game does not include any type of homosexuality. One good example is the Heavy exclaiming, "I live you Doctor!" and "Get behind me doctor!". These are not homosexual lines, because this is the way the Heavy expresses his gratitude to the Medic, who heals him. Also, there are awful hell-bound sinners out there that like to make crude drawings of the characters being homosexual. That is no fault in the game, but in the sinners' minds. Also, the Soldier's line "This is my world, you are not welcome in my world!" is not him referencing himself as a god, but as a way of asserting his dominance. Hello Warner, and welcome to our friendly forums. I'm guessing that you haven't actually read the whole of this thread - when you do, you will find that all of your problems have been dealt with extremely thoroughly.

First off the reason the characters say that they love the doctor is because they'd die without him.

Second off the game is M rated, your kids shouldn't play it anyways.

dear baseballmom,I saw your post, and wanted to help clear a few things up.
1: the killing and be "subdued" with an item called the pyrovision goggles, same with the bad words,
2: with the god bashing, he's not claiming the world as his own, it was added to be something funny, and not meant for ownership
3: you mention many times that they are homosexual, yet you don't provide any real evidence. heavy says he "loves" the doctor to say he really like the doctor, and "get behind me doctor" means for the medic to get behind him to heal him so the medic doesn't get hurt.


As a final little tid bit, this game was made to be funny and exciting, which is why most of the voice lines say outlandish things, so, in short, I understand that you might think it's "evil," but it's not meant to be. It's meant to be fast-paced, fun game, not the devils work.

hi all

first i must say thank you all for this board so i can keep my son away from nasty stuff the devil puts on this earth

as grateful as i am i am here to tell you all to ban team fortress 2 (abbreviated as TF2) for the following reasons

i discovered about it this weekend when my 15 year old son charlie brought home his friend and they were playing on his friend's laptop a game where it's nothing but killing, bad words, god bashing, anti-american propaganda, and worst of all HOMOSEXUALITY

first off this is their artwork they use to advertise to the MASSES



as you can see, they all are posed to look threatening (i guess that's what boys like these days)

there is also blantent homosexuality (when the doctor heals his patients they all say things like "i love this doctor" or "get behind me doctor!")

they made a character that looks like a soldier and he talks about god's world being his ("this is my world, you are not welcome in my world!") when i heard this i was MORBIDLY SHOCKED and appalled and ashamed of my son and he knew it

i was wondering why my son was getting into fights and after i saw this i banned him from ever seeing his friends

if you see your child playing this, tell them to uninstall it and watch him do it!!!

hope this helps parents out so your child doesn't stray far from god!

Of course they say it... what would you do if you happen to be in a war and you are a killer (yes its a war game get over it killing is the main point in it...) and you have a machine gun and for some reason you got shot in your back so you need a doctor healing you and you need to fight to save you too and to save your doctor...

Straight off of the game wikipedia:


The Soldier is a crazed, jingoistic patriot from America's heartland. Tough and well-armed, he is versatile, capable of both offense and defense, and a great starter class to get familiar with the game.


That means he is from America. The thing the character means is that he does not want no bad people on "his" world. That does NOT mean he is a god.

Its just a promotional picture for the game there is nothing threatening about it...

This is truly shocking. I have to admit, I have played this unholy and dirty game myself. Yet, in fact, it IS installed on my PC!

But I've never noticed all the things mentioned in here. It makes me feel guilty for some reason. I never wanted to be some god-hating hippie-loving pot-smoking homosexual-supporter.. I am so sorry...

I really hope that god may forgive my childish naivety!

Okay, let's get this straight. I'm an Atheist, I love Obama, and I play Team Fortress 2. So sue me. It is one of the most widely recognizable games available on the PC, and I believe you're f**king crazy.

"Homosexuality"? Seriously? "I love this doctor" is much applied in the same way as "I love these cookies". It's not meant in a fondling your genitals kind of way, it's meant in a "You're awesome for saving my life" kind of way.

If you think "Get behind me, Doctor!" is in any way homosexual, it's simply your own dirty mind thinking that and you should seriously reconsider your "christianity". If you've played the game for more than 10 seconds you'd know that medics literally FOLLOW you into battle using a beam-ray type healing gun. What's the safest way to do that? GETTING BEHIND THEM.

The artwork is just a little basic portrait of all the playable classes. There is nothing offensive in that, not even remotely. All the characters in this game have their own personalities, none of which could be seen as offensive besides maybe the spy.

The soldier remarks are not offensive. If you see that as offensive, go to boot camp. Most of his lines are highly bootcamp-esque.

Want to know why he's getting into fights? He's FIFTEEN. Shit, if I had you as a mom, I'd be punching people too to get revenge for how crazy of a mom this supposed "God" gave me.

What I don't quite grasp is why you would boast of it.


Before I was potty-trained at 9 months of age, I probably spent more than a 1000 hours in diapers. You don't hear me bragging about it.


Furthermore, may I make a small suggestion? Could you put in a 1000 hours or so of reading the Bible? Or reading anything other than the backs of cereal boxes and text messages? Could you put in even a tenth of that time to better the world? Or even yourself?


How much time do you spend showering or brushing your teeth? It's probably my imagination, but I think that I can smell that dank, fanboy/gamerguy funk even over the internet.
