You guys should stick to books. Computers are clearly not a thing.It is a game, games should not be taken seriously. If you want something to take seriously, hate on Muslims and such. Nobody likes them, after all.
Before some muslim comes around and starts insulting me, I know that not all muslims are terrorists, but most terrorists are muslim.


As I was saying, hating on a game is nonsense. I dont have anything against this religion, but the game is based on a comic book, and that is a fact. Also, I doubt any of you will know this, but this game has been developed from an engine that has belonged to a game (Half-Life 1) where you kill spawns of satan every time you get the chance. The first version of Team Fortress was called Team Fortress Classic, meaning to simulate real-life American soldiers. It is a very old game so I think you guys could run it on whatever you have. Oh, and by the way, say this out loud.

There is no hell. Neither is death. Death is of human construct. Christianity is just so that you dont suicide right away if you have a badly constructed life. You just need something fictional that you cannot prove to make you feel better, that you will go to heaven. It was very smart, this 'religion' thing. You can get rich fast, and you can get masses of people to follow you because they listen to whatever you say, but you have to claim it has come from the 'god'.

That's your own opinion. Science is way better, because you can prove it. How can you prove something happened 2000 piffleing years ago? That's right, you cant. Something happened, maybe a meteorite or something, then someone in the village that it happened in came up with the idea that it was the gods or some***************** FILTH REMOVED FOR THE SAKE OF THE CHILDREN*************and thus religion happened. Unfortunately, the moderators do have to read what you write because it is their job.


Also, we don't consider the Bible "crap", but rather a powerful cultural influence for those who believe it to be the One True Word of God Who Controls Everything. It even influences those who only have the vaguest notions of God. And we do have to write that stuff because this is a Bible discussion forum, so it's kind of the point.


And if you don't care about religion why are you here? Oh, right. You are here because you care about a video game. The real world is drowning in economic uncertainty and violent oppression and environmental disasters that affects millions of people, but you can only bestir yourself to voice an opinion because someone spoke ill of a game that you like.


And if you want to insist that you are not being hostile, I suppose that I will have to take your word for it. Hostile or not, we can all be grateful that the firearms to which you have access are CG and not 3D.

Ok so, TF2 is a game to let kids out of stress please explain to me what homosexuality is going on? when they say "I love this doctor" he is talking about how good the healing feels, and "get behind me doctor" means he wants the doctor to follow behind the Heavy (a troop from game) so he can charge he healing ray to unleash as i like to call MEGA Heavy and MEGA Doctor making them impenitrable to bullets and when the Soldier speaks about this world being his he means this is (insert team here Blue/Red)'s land not meaning what you said and how is being a american soldier make you HAVE to be straight??? Are you going against gay people? i know people in the army who are gay and they stay loyal to America also what do you see that makes the soldier gay??? and Gabe made this for kids to relive stress/anger.

I can assure you that TF2 is a harmless game! (Though not a very good one)There is no homosexuality. The only character that could even consider being homosexual is the pyro, and that is just some vague speculation.
As far as the "violence" in the game, TF2 is probably one of the most soft core games out there, and may seem violent at first, but the game is just a bunch of jokes and puns. Every game has fighting in it, and if you think that is somehow bad, you shouldn't let your kids near the internet... Just remember that this game is based on WWII.
Gabe newell is a nice person, and while some of his games have been "controversial" (hard to even say), he is an amazing developer and creates games that are innovating and some of the best around. (if you think portal is bad, clearly you have never played it nor half-life, which i do recommend you play, it is possibly the greatest game ever).
There is hardly any cursing. Some characters will occasionally say a bad word, but most of the time it flies over everyone's heads. Nothing in the game is supposed to be taken seriously (except the objectives obviously). Many of the characters are over-exaggerated, the soldier being being a crazed and somewhat un-intelligent american soldier.
Hiding violence from your children like it never happens will never end well, we should educate our children.


Just a note, don't criticize something without doing a decent amount of research. And if you will never do anything against your beliefs, clearly you have never suffered. Also, nobody ever takes anything from videogames and applies them to real life. One of the popular themes of videogames is forcing people to make choices against their beliefs (uncharted)


And as for viruses completely destroying your houses electricity, it wont happen. Governments would pay billions for something like that, and the whole world would be in chaos. sometimes i wonder if people actually understand what a computer is.
