Re: Will Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim be ok to play or will it be evil

Hello, I am a Christian as well as a retro gamer. I mostly play games from the Nintendo Entertainment System. For example I play a game called Mario Bros. Note that I didn't say Super Mario Bros.

The Original Mario Bros is about plumbers trying to fight their way through the sewers while also defeating evil turtles and crabs that are trying to kill you along with avoiding fireballs that fly towards you.

I honestly see nothing wrong with the game I have just described.

    Correct.

I know what religious freedom means, sweetie. It means that we are free to believe what the Holy Bible tells us to believe.

Your question is well taken. No, the Bible does not tell us to love everyone. Check this out> 2 Corinthians 6:14. It tells us to love other Christians (example-Psalm 119:63). As one who is clearly hostile towards Christians, that would obviously not include you. Also, I must tell you that strong language is never welcome.

In addition to your hostility, your rudeness is on display here. Would you barge into a conversation between strangers on the street with your foul language? I will wager the answer is no, unless you seek a beating. We ask that all who come here make an introduction in our introduction section. Tell us of your failed search for salvation. We will help you get back on track, even though you are currently and unsaved wretch. Our mission is to lead you to salvation, no matter how unpleasant you may be.

Why not make an intro, tell us your favorite bible verse, and how you found Jesus

    Dear Miss Nirvana,

I find your claim "I love everyone" most confusing. How do you usually express your love? Is it customary to insult those you love, as according to the best of our knowledge, you love Rev. Osborne, because he is obviously among "everyone". How is your love towards our Lord reflected A. in your post and based on B. what the Lord tells us to do?

    Exhibit A. Quoted above.
    Exhibit B. A verse:
    Ephesians 4:31

Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

We know dragons are really another form of Satan (read Revelation, chapter 12). Also from what I heard, it takes place in a Nordic country like Norway or Iceland, so there will probably a lot of norse god worship in the game as well.

And I've read it is being released on 11/11/11. That is some pagan numerology right there.

I think it goes without saying that you should not even play this game.

You think you are fine. A sensation of self assured ease is often one of the early warning signs of a person walking away from Jesus. The Devil tempts by masturbating your mind with thoughts of pleasure. Until BAM! It is over, you are left there sitting, all alone with your controller in your sticky hand and on the screen, a big splotchy 'GAME OVER'.

    Ms. Crow,

In adult discussion a simple assertion of an opinion is a very weak argument. Unless you have some evidence to back up your claim, I'm afraid that we're simply going to dismiss it. Your material (at the moment) fails when it comes to sample size (N=1) and references (N=0). You may have also noticed that in this Forum the references that we take most seriously are Biblical references. I have here one that disagrees with you.

    Zechariah 8:5
And the streets of the city shall be full of boys and girls playing in the streets thereof.

Yes, playing may be OK on the streets, but not idle gaming in a closed room that lures solitary youths into self-abuse. In addition, this a verse that is communicated directly from God. We take His opinions more seriously than yours.

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

I am a Christian, so calling me a demon would be unnecessary, no offense..
