You, my dear lady, is clearly confused and have not researched enough.

The game allows you to choose between careers.

You can be:
A. A warrior, who fights to save the land and banish Diablo(see ''devil'' in spanish) from the little town.
B. You can be a cunning archer who strikes her demonic enemies with bows from afar.
C. You can be a wizard who does the same thing as the earlier mentioned.

The game is based around a town that has been cursed by Diablo. Diablo has slain the local priest and taken over the church in a whole. He has turned the church into hell incarnate. You are supposed to save this town and banish Diablo. on the way you are forced to slay people, yes, but they are influenced by Diablo, i.e, you enforce power against satan worshippers.
