after reading the first 3 pages of this thread, i have come to the conclusion, the all of the religious nut jobs here are completely ignoring the logical arguments of how, the game itself does in no way glorify Satan. The game is about SLAYING demons that have nothing to do with SATAN. there was a mention of how the bible has nothing to do with him. if the bible and your religion have nothing to do with Satan, why is there the possibility of sin and hell itself? also, how does a video game, that has nothing to do with christianity, the catholic church or any other religion to do with worshiping satan? please actually look into the game, or do some research about it before you go around plastering it as SATAN WORSHIP or gay orgies? honestly... what does playing/making a video game to entertain people have anything to do with gay orgies with animals? and you also mindlessly quote scripture which is used OUT OF CONTEXT and in most cases has nothing to do with the point made before. please READ AND UNDERSTAND your holy book before you go around quoting it out of context claiming your god is all loving. because there was nothing i saw in that book that shows him as a loving god. it's people like you that make me glad i'm not religious. the brain washing you nut jobs have gone through is ridiculous. please learn to actually have an open mind, that's what jesus was really trying to teach. open mindedness and love for those who live this life with you. not to judge based on a book which has most likely been mistranslated.

Please, make jesus come here and tell me all about this. It's obviously important that you judge people and tell them they are "Homosexual" "Terrorists" Or MANY Of the other things you have spouted. The facts the OP has posted are 99% untrue, The only TRUE facts that came from that whole cluster-fuck.. were the name of the game and it's creator. Also, if i may remind you jesus was not white he was of middle eastern heritage, American is not a language it is "English" Our people came from europe and some from southern africa. Unless you are a full blown native american with that heritage do not preach about how you are a pure american. Is extremely offensive to a wide variety of people and should not be encouraged, It's "Racist" As you've called people and i've noticed many of you are "Ex-gay" or "Ex-Prostitute" How can you possibly condemn someone for something you have done yourself? Exactly, with this, what you're saying is JUST because a game is called "Diablo" doesn't make it offensive, and please, before you start bashing a game (My favorite franchise, to be honest), please LEARN about the REAL game, not some clone or whatever is in the first post, I've never seen that before; the only REAL "Diablo" games there are happen to be: Diablo I/Hellfire, Diablo II/Lord of Destruction, and lastly and most recently, being released on May 15th, Diablo 3.

The story behind Diablo is that the Lord of Terror, Diablo, was set free in a world called Sanctuary, and it's your job to battle through dungeons and slay HIS minions, finally reaching him and completely destroying him, in Diablo II, same thing happens, except you get HELPED by ARCHANGELS. This game in no way GLORIFIES The Devil Diablo.

Tl;dr: You bash your way through Diablos minions to utterly destroy him/send him back to hell.

'Nuff said.

PS. Blizzard Entertainment didn't make Oblivion. That was Bethesda Studios. Two completely different companies.

You know as a Gamer I'm embarrassed with how some of my peers have gone about responding to this thread, and as a fellow Christian I'm also equally embarrassed at how blind some of you are on this website.

Blizzard has always made extremely enjoyable games, but none of them have ever had anything sexually provocative about them, at all. You're posting libelous information, which is technically illegal, without doing a lick of research.

God made us in his image. Honestly this could be interpreted in many many many different ways, but I wholeheartedly believe that playing FICTIONAL games which has us playing a superhuman hero on a mission to protect the world from Diablo isn't something God would mind. Do I have any idols that I put on the same level as God? Absolutely not.

It actually hurts my head, and my heart, to read some of these replies from "Christians". You might need to take a note from the "Brony" community and just "love and tolerate" us gamers. Isn't love and tolerance something that God would approve of? Or is persecution what he would want? While I can't say every gamer is as level-headed and/or shares my same beliefs, I do think some of the Christians in this forum have truly misguided intentions.

Either way, Blizzard is going to release this game and people are going to play it. If you don't like it?

Hello good people of this forum, I would like to start off by saying that I am perfectly fine with you worshiping any God you deem fit to worship. Now something I must stress from the OP, first off, the image you posted is from not only none of the Diablo games, it is not even a game created by Blizzard. Blizzard is the company that created Diablo(1, 2, and 3), Warcraft(1, 2, 3, WoW), Starcraft(1,2), and many more.

They do in fact(not every single time) ban accounts if you are reported for swearing or bullying or anything of the sort. There is no amount of nudity or sex or drugs in any of their games. I seriously urge you all to research information about Diablo and the company Blizzard that creates it. There are creatures from 'hell' in it, but you are playing as a hero of justice to defeat them. There is violence in their games, and if you disagree with that then that is your opinion but a very different argument.

Another point I would like to bring up is that you should not ever, and I mean EVER attempt to forcefully take away any other grown persons decision as long as it isn't affecting the ones near them. What I am saying is that yes games with nude characters do exist and people play them. But that is their decision to make whether you believe it is right or not. If you believe they will end up in hell for their actions then that is your free will and you sure can let them know your opinion. But trying to force beliefs on anyone is very wrong, to the point of I believe it should be illegal and punishable by law to attempt to force beliefs on anyone.

Now like I just said that is just my belief, and I will not try to shove my belief down anyone's throat, I threw it out there and if you agree with it then great, if you don't then that is fine too. Pretty much everything else that is forced is very much illegal. Just take time to think about it, if you go up to some stranger and force them to do anything you can get punished severely, yet it is somehow deemed appropriate to force beliefs on strangers? I myself have been approached by several religions while working fast food several years ago while still in High School who would refuse to let customers order and stood right there literally trying to force me into their religion so it isn't just some made-up thing that never happens. It happens, a lot.

With all of that said I hope you will do more research next time before posting something such as this which will just spread like wildfire within the religious community until it is commonly known fact that Blizzard games are full of sex and drugs and satanists when that is far from the truth. I also hope you will be more thoughtful of others free-will in the future. Thank you for reading
