Garry's mod is not all about that, its just a game where you create many different things. You can make a table, then make a coffee mug. And you can put the coffee mug on the table by picking it up then setting it down, no demonic things involved. WOAH! just because sick people play the game doesn't mean the game is bad. and those "demonic figures" In the pictures weren't demonic figures, they are in half life 2, and they are actually people who had a parasitic animal attached to their heads forcefully and now they are dead, but the parasite is in control of their nervous system. First of all, I'd like to comment on how unfounded quite a lot of the claims in this thread are.

Secondly, I'd like to get a few things out of the way. I am:

A) Atheist
A gamer
C) A programmer
D) A SysAdmin

Thirdly, I am not:

A) As your members put it, a "basement dweller"
Soulless
C) Without morals
D) "sub human" as your members put it.

I find the last statement to be a bit derogatory, especially with the reference to race. I find it disgusting that someone with such a view on others (for example, blacks, asians or indians) believes they are moral. You personally good sir, make me sick.

I also noticed a lot of comments about homosexuals. Who are you to judge someone on who they are? You yourself, could be judged on your religion. Do I judge you solely on your religion though?

No. I judge plainly on character. The character I have seen in this thread, is simply disgusting. That someone would place themselves above someone else over race, sexuality, or even beliefs, disgusts me.

I am all for people having their own religion, practising it, but this sort of bigotry is simply foul. Do not try using your religion as a reason for hating anyone. If you knew your own damn book well, you would know that one of the main parts if I remember correctly, is to "love thy neighbour". Homosexuals are your neighbours. Blacks are your neighbours. We are all your neighbours.

I hope for the sake of the rest of your church, that those of you that are not as bigoted as the ones that have publicly shown these views, condemn the views of those that have.

A little added note: I don't want to get into an argument over the logistics of religion. I don't believe in it, you do. I agree to disagree on that matter.

Try just the book of Genesis. After you read each story, write down what it taught you about who God is. Whom does He love? Whom does He hate, and why? (He hates a lot of people.)

Perhaps on the matter of video games making people violent and subsequently turning them into murderers, there is one extra piece to this equation that has been always a factor: firearms. Now how about we use another country say, Australia as an example. Australia has some of the safest gun laws that I know of. you must be 18 or older, and you must have a genuine reason to possess one ie hunting, farming. Take note that its generally unacceptable to have one for self defense purposes. Now... America, my god there's roughly 50% of the population own a gun, not to mention you can have any type of gun from single shot, semi, pump action; while in Australia only single shot/bolt rifles, single/double barrel shotguns and in rare cases semi hand guns are available for the general public. Where am I going with this? Well there have been in excess 80 to 90 school shooting incidents in America, a majority linked to violent video games.... And Australia, only two incidents, both were due to mental stress, and because of the 1994 weapons ban, there hasn't been any shootings to date.

Either Americans are prone to picking up guns lying around like candy because a game told them so, or maybe there should be instead, tighter weapon restrictions. Taking away the gun means bullets can't fly.

I recently found this game on my child's computer.

DO NOT, AND I REPEAT. DO NOT LET CHILDREN NEAR THIS GAME.

The disgusting hell-mongrels who've created this game obviously have no respect for God. My young boy, only thirteen, starting showing signs of demonic possession after removing this game from our family computer. The DEVIL is in this game. I urge all parents to sit down with their children, or even children they don't know, and expose them to some KJV scripture. Hopefully, they will repent for their wretched sins.

First of all. God did not write the bible. The bible was written by people and not god. Should you believe what they wrote? There is a difference between believing in god and following a book because you are afraid of going to hell.

So how do you believe in God?
