Praise of Jesus for His wondrous love in telling us what God hates so we do not displease Him is never off topic, friend. It all comes around to this: does the sound of burning in endless torment appeal to you? Then shall we look anew at the way to avoid this and instead sing with angels?

Start with me. In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.

Also it doesn't matter how good you think you are.

Oh, you repugnate everything I have said? I am so scared of a card carrying member of [insert random club name here]!

As a proud member of the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster, I repugnate everything YOU have said.

I tried to explain to you how good of a person you can be, regardless of your religion. But you can't teach a brainwashed person, can you?

Anyway, I know I am going to hell for playing Garry's mod, even though I am a good person at heart. You can never comprehend religion logic, can you?
Oh wait, what am I saying, there is no LOGIC in religion.

    All the best.
I'm very sorry, I confused the names.
I intended to say Giordano Bruno, not Galileo Galilei.
    Thanks for pointing it out
Now would you care to answer my other questions? Or was a name mistake all you needed to point out?

Now let's look at Pat Robertson. He is the richest Evangelical Christian in the world. He has not donated a single dollar to the charity, and he utilizes slave labor at African diamond mines.

You need look no further than Brother V's Bible in a year Pastor Peter's Things that the Bible doesn't say, I highly recommend Pastor Enoe's the 10 commandments and their punishments. Dr. True Disciple's dissertation on population displacement is highly enlightening. Pastor Will's series of the Greatest Smitings of the Bible is great stuff too.

Maybe the term "hate" was a bit strong, but it certainly got the point across.
I didn't talk about studying the Bible. I just wanted to show the fault in your logic with an example. But it seems like you're a bit short on intelligence.
But that's okay, I guess. You don't have a choice.
I registered only to say that don't judge a community by only looking at some individuals.
I can just be as blind as you, and say that Christians are heartless murderers who burned Africans alive and mass murdered Jews. But that is just not right, at least not on my standard. Not every Christian is a Nazi or a member of the Ku Klux Klan.
Listen buddy, I am an atheist. I help people in need. I have no problem with people who believe in any religion, be it Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Buddhism or even Satanism or any other religion. I live for the greater good of humanity. Humanity must be preserved. We must live through to the next generation. We must spread love and affection for the people of earth - our home.
The most I would ask of you is to stop using technology created by the Devil (as you call it). The internet has a lot of Furry role-plays in it. Is it counted as unholy and perverted now? Does God hate the internet AND this forum, which is part of the internet?
Now let's look at some examples.
Bill gates, atheist, the inventor of Windows (most of you are using an atheist's creation to post on this Christian forum).
Bill gates has donated over 26 billion dollars to the charity.
Now let's look at Pat Robertson.
He is the richest Evangelical Christian in the world. He has not donated a single dollar to the charity, and he utilizes slave labor at African diamond mines.
Now, do you need to be a Christian to be good?
    The answer is NO
    Are atheists evil?
    The answer is NO
    Now, you tell me:
What is the shape of earth? Round or flat?
Does the earth spin around the sun? Or does the sun spin around the earth?
Did Galileo Galilei really deserve to die?
Do you have the right to kill Jews/Muslims/blacks/atheists?
Would you sacrifice humanity for God? Even if it counts as cruel?
And again, don't try to convince me to read the Bible or try to prove that god exists. I will counter with Russell's teapot.

So your saying you can do something in garrys mod that is wrong. Well you can also do that in real life. So should we ban real life?
Jesus is coming back to do exactly that,

Revelation 14:14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle.

I would ban all furry conventions in real life. I would also ban some of the abominations I have seen on there.

People burning Jesus on the cross!

Your analogy isn't very good. It would be like going on a gay cruise while saying I'm not gay.

At least you are talking about free will and choice. I do have to commend you for that. At least you aren't saying people are born as sickos and perverts.

    ONE CAN BE BORN GAY!

And you are very angry and loud and missing the point. The point is not the game or whether or not you are gay or can compose a post that is not plastered with profanity.

The point is that we want you to read the Bible. That is why we are here. And here you wander in and order us to read another book besides the Bible.

Please remember we didn't drag you off of the street to sit in on this discussion, you chose to join in. And as long as you are here, you have to get used to the fact that we are going to bring the Bible into every exchange and insist that the Bible has the answer to and final word on every subject.

    That's what real Christians do.

Mind you, there are a lot of people out there who say that they are Christians but who back off from the Bible whenever the words in its pages get too demanding, or too off-putting in some way. They may feel that some of the sentiments therein are too harsh or intolerant and the commands and instructions are not realistic in this day and age or are just plain cruel and crazy.

These self-proclaimed believers are hypocrites and deluded. The Bible-- which is these people's admitted source for believing in God and calling themselves Christians-- includes all sorts of verses that explain that God is eternal, unchanging in His nature, all knowing, and all powerful--meaning He is the one in charge, not us.

So, if God says something once, He means it. Being unchanging Himself, He can't very well go back and recant something that He said earlier, can He?

And when God says something not once, but twice, thrice and so forth many times over, you have to accept that He is very serious on the subject.

The verses in which God condemns homosexuality are numerous. They have been quoted and pasted in threads and posts here at the LBC forum time and time again. I'm not going to bother myself to include them here for your benefit, because if you really want to find them, they are there.

So, you can holler all you want at us to read something other than the Bible, but our express purpose here is to get YOU to read the Bible and really see what it says. Whether you will choose to accept-- as in agree with-- the content of its pages is not within my power, and I am comfortable with that. It is not going to upset my belief system.

You believe that the Bible was written by men and contains contradictions. Many, many people believe otherwise. If you want to have a productive discussion on the subject you need to know the Bible better than they do. And you need to stay calm and read carefully. Trust me on this, though, NOBODY knows the Bible better than the Brothers here at Landover Baptist. That is why they are:

    True Christians™

    Sincerely Yours,

    Handmaiden
