Re: My Chemical Romance - Emo False Christians!
YOU'RE ALL RIGHT! A combined 30 years of Christianity between the lot of you and you've torn down millions of combined years of Christian theological study. Bravo
You're right: We shouldn't judge. ANYONE. PERIOD. NO JUDGING. Committed a crime? Looks like there won't be an retribution because WE CAN'T JUDGE ANYONE. Wanna do something that others will disapprove of? Go ahead, because no one can judge you! We live in a society where no one can judge anyone else because the Bible says so, right? Because these handful of tweenage girls interpreted the Bible that way.
Except you missed some stuff:
Zechariah 3:7 "Thus saith the LORD of hosts; If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts, and I will give thee places to walk among these that stand by."
I Kings 3:9-13 "Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and bad: for who is able to judge this thy so great a people?"
But other than those quotes you're totally right. Except even the verse that you phoney-baloney, salad bar Christians (that only go to youth group because of the CUTE BOYS) like to use as evidence that we shouldn't judge doesn't even mean "you shouldn't judge!"
Matthew 7:1 "Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye."
Jesus is not saying you shouldn't judge, he is saying you shouldn't judge if you are hypocrite or aren't prepared to be judged yourself.
Sorry to break down your world view. Look on the bright side: there's probably a new episode of The Vampire Diaries on tonight.
