I know that every individual is deserving of their own opinion, but somehow this thread is very disturbing. You are labelling those individuals who may see the darkness in life, who may not be comfortable with who they are due to society pressures and other reasons, those deemed as 'emotionally unstable'. The band 'My Chemical Romance' (MCR) does not aim to limit their audience to this group of people, but the men that make up this band are happy to have provided a soundtrack to the happiness that most of these people feel when they move past a dark time in their lives.
In case you are unaware, MCR has been accused of being a suicide cult, encouraging depression in youths. I would just like to take this opportunity to say that depression is a mental illness, that many people suffer from at different intensities, and that it deserves to be taken as seriously as physical illnesses, as they can both be treated, and are both fixable. It is out of an individual's control whether he/she gets depression, there is even some research that hints at depression being genetic, which, under the beliefs of Christianity, would suggest that your God 'made' depression.
Equality should be an aim of everyone. Labelling people suffering from depression does not help this cause (but then I guess a lot of you on here would be all for eliminating gay relationships, and some of you are even likely to be racist from what I've seen so far). You are engaging in what could be termed as 'indirect cyber bullying'. The content on here could be potentially hurtful to certain members of the public, and in my view, should be removed immediately.
I also find it disgusting that one of your tags for this thread is 'cutting: masturbation for emos'. Not only is the term 'emo' derogatory, but cutting or other versions of self harm or injury in no manner are related to masturbation. It is a behaviour seen in many of the population, often those who feel isolated, bullied, self-conscious and many, many other reasons. Similar behaviours can also be seen in other animals, when put under stresses similar to these, again insinuating that, under your beliefs, God created this. It is not a mark of the 'devil', it is simply something natural.
As someone who believes everyone should have a chance to be equal in this world, and an ethologist (I study behaviour), I am disgraced to inhabit the same planet as those who put others down, insulting their hobbies and interests, and blaming others' behaviours on their music taste. Your aims should be to spread peace, joy and love, which you are not doing in the entirety of this thread, nor with the emoticon as mentioned before. Whilst it would not be preferential to see muslims killing christians, they are both as bad as each other. It is incredibly racist to believe that most muslims are terrorists, and Jihad is a ridiculous principle. People are entitled to their own beliefs, there is no need to wage war over it. Or to engage in this war, which you are implying you are doing so with such an emoticon.
Also stated on this thread, is that this section of the forum is to improve your parenting. If your child is engaging in self harm, or you believe they may be suffering from depression, then take a look at yourself and how you have raised them. Take a look at their school life. My Chemical Romance

The name of the band was suggested by bass guitarist Mikey Way, younger brother of Gerard, who was working in a Barnes&Noble when he was struck by the title of a book by Irvine Welsh named Ectasy: Three tales of chemical romance.

They probably just thought it was an interesting name. You're probably thinking into it too much.

Just a name, without any message, except maybe "you should read" . Also the book tells us 3 stories of girls, which were using drugs. One of them dies, other is in hospital and the third one stops using and lives hapily ever after.

Their lyrics are relatively dark, because:

The band was formed by front-man Gerard Way and drummer Matt Pelissier approximately one week after the September 11 atacks . Witnessing the planes crash into the World Trade Center influenced Way's life to the extent that he decided to start a band. Way wrote the song "Skylines and Turnstiles" to express his feelings about September 11.

My Chemical Romance never claimed to be satanic.

So this is a relatively normal band, the only fing that is left bad about them could be cussing/cursing, but everyone does it nowdays , also there aren't many bad words in their songs, like in rap music. Also MCR messages to the world are "You should always be yourself", "it's ok to be not ok" and so on.
