You've actually discovered the main problem! Being nice is totally unimportant. Saving the people's Souls to keep them away from Hell is the main thing! Jesus was not nice, He used to call the Pharisees vipers to make them realize their faulty ways (Matthew 3:7)! People need to understand! It is with fear that they should be taught! Fear is the thing that makes them obey! Only these two things are necessary (Ecclesiastes 12:13).

You're on the right track: God creates things he hates all the time. I mean, have you read about the Great Flood? God created thousands of people and animals from scratch and let them reproduce for a handful of generations, only to realize that He hated the vast majority of them and killed them all. And he did so with no more hesitation that you or I might have scraping paint off a canvas.

However, the sinner is no less guilty just because God wanted him to sin. There's a popular myth out there that just because the sinner didn't have a choice in the matter that they didn't sin. That's simply not true.

You see, God knows everything and He always has known everything. Isaiah 46:10 says that God declared from ancient times things that are not yet done.

There's even a story in the Bible where God created a set of twins and loved only one of them, apparently just to prove a point:

(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. - Romans 9:11-13

So you see, God creates things for His own pleasure, including BDSM. And just because you don't understand it, doesn't mean you won't go to Hell for it.

God decides who's going to be bad long before we're born:
