You know what, I just had a random thought. When I die and go on to
Heaven (yea, believe it or not, I have the same chance as any other
person) I want to be one of the many who look down when you all die

I was most impressed by Sister Mrs Nancy Miller powerful testimony last Sunday. When she realized her son was going gay and even a spiritual intervention from Pastor Zeke didn't help she took the matter into hand herself and beat the sodomite demon out of her own son! The willingness of that woman to get down in her knees with her son and do what it takes is moving and impressive. PRAISE JESUS!

You know there has also been studies that have found a belief in a higher being produced more Prosocial behavior than counterparts without belief in a higher being. However, Religious people tend to be extremely altruistic only within their own religious community or in-group, or so the studies found.
I know we had a long debate about this particular study over at Lit Network where you can find a link to a newspaper article describing the results of the literature review study.

hell to me would be living in ignorance and not knowing for sure
one way or the other if religion was the way or not. Heaven to me is
living life in dignity, without religion, and the childish fear of
going to hell when I die. And that childish fear begins to creep into
every area of ones life "like a worm" eating away at every dignified
action that you may take in life. Once you understand the principle of
dignity, then you can really understand what morality is.


Morality is a progression found in philosophy that you must learn like
every other skill or language--you have to start as a beginer. And I
don't know if religion and morality are compatible, because of the
undignified cowardice that religious people typically suffer from--
they won't take the risk of offending God. And they are insuferable to
be around because they cannot learn anything else, and then they try
to draw you intlo their living hell. What can you do?
