I'm kind of new here, but I've joined to specifically comment on this section of the forum. For quite a while now I've know myself to be homosexual, however I never act upon such urges nor intend to. As I personally study biology, physiology, and chemistry I don't believe homosexuality as anything more than a chemical imbalance.

I did mention I am abstinent, and that is because, I still attend sermons every Sunday, volunteer at the local church, and for all intents and purposes, I am a Christian.

But what seems to escape me, is the cause of such a fervent hatred in what should merely be a live and let live situation. As I see it, the whole situation is just another sin of the flesh, so if I'm not to engage in sexual activity of that sort, why should I be damned? God will not allow those who seek such forbidden fruit into the kingdom of heaven, so why must the Christian community engage the damned? Why not just let them go to hell?

A little clarity would be greatly appreciated.

The Bible tells us that homosexual feelings are a punishment sent from God to those who have committed idolatry. So instead of asking us why we hold you accountable for your sins of idolatry, why don't you explain to us why you would worship a false idol?
