Why?

Because it keeps us grounded. I believe in God. You might believe in Prada (mind you, those Italians makes some seriously good fashion).

I believe in respecting those around me. I believe in accepting people from other races, religions, sexual orientations, and generally just living and letting others live. Hating on others only makes your own life miserable. Going through life with your tongue in your cheek, keeping your humor, makes life a pleasurable journey.

I don't think so. I think of God as the Designer. Intelligent Design offers a credible alternative to evolution for how life came from just chemicals. Evolution is a theory in crisis and Inworry that when Christians follow the bible too closely other people are turned off.

I believe the Designer created us all to be kind and loving to every one.

I think we all need something to believe in, bit there comes a point where your beliefs become and obsession, and in turn dangerous. People use the name of God to justify their hatred, intolerance, bigotry and general nastiness. Live and let live.

I was sharing opinions, as were the others. I find it very intriguing to see how different people will react. I maintain that God is a God of love.

While I generally agree that Hod is love and not hate you seem to be contradicting yourself. Some of the more hateful people on this site are haters but you are calling them out for saying you are a hater when you saying they are haters.

You and them are both calling each other haters when you both could just love each other.

It break my heart when people hate, I hate the haters and wish we could just love each other.

All I see is hatred here. You don't know me, yet you deem it necessary to say I am hating? I have many versions of the Bible, since I have an inquiring mind. Between working on my oncology specialty, raising a lovely set of twins and creating a loving home for my husband, I also have time to read the Word, and try to live according to the example Jesus gave. But I suppose being an educated woman who does not judge others would put me in the category of a "cherry picker", whatever that might mean.

James 2:10 "For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."

Disobeying any of the 630+ commandments and requirements (not just seven) in the Bible is sufficient reason for God to send you to Hell.

Why should it be your business that they are facing eternal damnation? You give them the word, they choose what they do with that. Your job is done once you have given them the word.

I think it's obvious anyone who hasn't embraced Christ's message of Unconditional Love hasn't truly received His Holy Word. What kind of idiot would chose damnation over salvation? Atheists are the most disgusting, vile, vomiting inducing reprobates in human history but that doesn't mean they want to burn in Hell.

If sinner appears to reject The Word that just means we Christian need to try harder. Souls are at stake here friend.
