I love them, but hate their sins. Is that not Christian, following Christ's example?

These poor depraved people are facing eternal damnation that they so richly deserve, do they not? We are not talking about good and true Christians here. In the hereafter Lucifer and his demons will be permitted to act out ever sadistic act imaginable upon unrepentant sinners in the Lake of Fire. Since they face the most terrible of punishments for their horrible crimes we Christians must help them deal with their problems directly.

Jesus is the only way.

Why should it be your business that they are facing eternal damnation? You give them the word, they choose what they do with that. Your job is done once you have given them the word.

So you are 100% without sin? You don't envy your neighbor when he buys a new car? You don't comment on a beautiful woman when you see one (lust)? You don't shave your face? You don't wear cotton blends? You don't pass out for an afternoon nap after a huge Sunday lunch (sloth and gluttony all in one there)?

Well, "unsaved scum of the world"? Wow, that is drowning them in love right there. How can you preach love, yet call someone you don't know scum? Wouldn't a better approach be to get closer to the unsaved with kind gestures, and then tell them how wonderful our God is? I mean, actions does speak louder than words...and leading by example is always a very good way of getting unsaved individuals to listen to the beautiful message of our Lord?

We are providing them with the truth, the Word, and the message, and you're taking us to task for that.

I am not taking you to task...I am merely discussing my opinion, not forcing others to do as I say. My opinion is different than yours. Doesn't it make life more interesting when we all have different opinions, and can discuss them? It is always good to have a different view point. Makes us more diverse.

1 John 5:18: We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

I do believe in the Bible. I also believe that some Christians spread a message of fire and brimstone, when the same effect can be had with a gentler approach.

How gentle was Christ with the moneychangers, or with the people whom He called dogs and vipers?

As for your post on a person on a train track; every person has a free will. You can provide them with the truth, the word and the message, but it will be their ultimate choice to make. We can only hope and pray that they make the right choice for them.

Angel. As far as we, as True Christians, are concerned there is only one version of The Holy Bible. The 1611 KJV. We live our lives by thi literally and do not deviate fro the True Word. What you really need to do is forget about all the secular BS you have heard and start to really believe. Read the Book, understand The Book and LIVE by the book. This means know your place, woman:

Genesis 3:13

And the LORD God said vnto (unto)the woman, What is this that thou hast done? And the woman said, The Serpent beguiled me, and I did eate (eat).

And in which way, pray tell, did the Serpent beguile me? As for the "secular BS", you have absolutely no idea how I was raised, so don't even begin to try and unravel my psyche.

I actually did provide scripture for my statements, and just commented on my understanding of said scriptures.

And others have provided Scripture to show that your understanding is either incomplete or mistaken.

I serve a living God who send His son Jesus Christ to die on the cross for my sins.

So do we.

John 3:16-18: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

I strive every day to live a life of tolerance, forgiveness and love, and in so doing uplifting the name of God through my actions.

I try to love, since God is love. I try to be kind, since we shall be known by our actions. I try to heal the sick in my profession, clothe the poor, with the help from my church, give hope to the hopeless by giving them an ear that will listen, and understanding. Isn't that why we were created?

If we were created to help others, couldn't God have saved the trouble by not creating those who need our help? Also, what you are saying sounds suspiciously like the heresy of salvation through works:

Eph. 2:8-9: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: [it is] the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.

All I see is hatred here. You don't know me, yet you deem it necessary to say I am hating? I have many versions of the Bible, since I have an inquiring mind. Between working on my oncology specialty, raising a lovely set of twins and creating a loving home for my husband, I also have time to read the Word, and try to live according to the example Jesus gave. But I suppose being an educated woman who does not judge others would put me in the category of a "cherry picker", whatever that might mean.

If you see someone standing on the train tracks in the path of an oncoming freight train, which is the more loving thing to do: to say, "Oh, well, it's really none of my business," or to get that person to safety by any means necessary?

That's very pretty, but here's what else God teaches:

Ezekiel 33:8-9: When I say unto the wicked, O wicked [man], thou shalt surely die; if thou dost not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked [man] shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thine hand. Nevertheless, if thou warn the wicked of his way to turn from it; if he do not turn from his way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul.

What better way is there to show the world what true children of God are, except by preaching His Word exactly as He has revealed it to us?

Then your god is an incomplete version of the real God:

Psalm 5:4-5: For thou [art] not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity.

You need to believe in the entire Bible, not just a few cherry-picked feel-good verses.
