  • New Yorker Studying to Become a Biblical Psychologist.

Hello! My name is Anthony, I live in New York, I haven't really gone to church, but I do plan to change that! A friend of mine taught me to see the true path of Christianity, instead of the humdrum life I was living before. He told me about this site, and I figured I would check it out. I am 23 years old, soon to be 24, and I love archery and horseback riding. I like to stick to nature and see the beauty in things. I am currently single, but not really looking just yet, since things are a little tight with money--and knowing women in the past, my wallet is often emptied before I can even pay off my car. That was a joke.

    So, thats about it.

    Thanks for listening!

    Mr. Anthony,

Your introduction shows some promise. Some of your activities as acceptable albeit Jesus would probably prefer more active spreading of the Gospel instead of idle frolicking in the woods. After all, the only True Beauty is to be seen on the shining face of Jesus when He welcomes us into Heaven.

While our time has given God's soldiers more effective weapons than the bow and arrow, they are certainly reasonable choices based on the OT. Just be careful to follow God's commandments in order to avoid any unpleasant scenarios as follows:

    Ezekiel 39:3
And I will smite thy bow out of thy left hand, and will cause thine arrows to fall out of thy right hand.

Nice verse! What are your favorites?

    Yours in Christ,

    Elmer

Well, I'm confused as to why you assume the LORD has assigned you His personal archer before you've even read the Holy Bible, but history is full of wonderful miracles! If God can speak through one ass (Numbers 22:28), surely He can speak through another!

      Praise Jesus and welcome aboard!

Hello, my name is Mary. I hope to fellowship with you! That is, unless you don't listen to church authority (Deuteronomy 17:12); are a witch (Exodus 22:17); are a homosexual (Leviticus 20:13; Romans 1:24-32); or fortuneteller (Leviticus 20:27) or a snotty kid who hits their dad (Exodus 21:15); or curses their parents (Proverbs 20:20; Leviticus 20:9); an adulterer (Leviticus 20:10); a non-Christian (Exodus 22:19; Deuteronomy 13:7-12; Deuteronomy 17:2-5;Romans 1:24-32); an atheist (2 Chronicles 15:12-13); or false prophet (Zechariah 13:3); from the town of one who worships another, false god (Deuteronomy 13:13-19); were a non-virgin bride (Deuteronomy 22:20-21); or blasphemer (Leviticus 24:10-16), as God calls for your execution and will no doubt send you to Hell, and I have no interest developing a friendship with the Spiritually Walking Dead.

Thanks for welcome, and I apologize for the name, as I meant for it to become my title. I would like to earn my place in heaven, however hard it may be.

        My favorite verse:

Genesis 21:20 - God was with the lad, and he grew; and he lived in the wilderness and became an archer.

Mostly because it describes how I want my relationship with The Lord to be.

Hello friend - nice to meet you. As you are relatively new to Christianity I will point out quoting from any other version of the Bible besides the King James Version usually results in an infraction (or having Jesus drop kick you into the lake of fire). However, I will let that slide for now. Going forward, when quoting scripture, only quote from the blessed KJV.

Well that's just fine, dear! An admirable goal indeed. I pray you open your heart to the LORD and show Him all due reverence. Don't forget to let fear and obedience inspire your every action (Ecclesiastes 12:13), and may He bless you richly.

                Hello Lord Archer and

It's not often we see a celebrity on here. I really enjoy your books, especially Not a Penny More, Not a Penny Less. Your literary style is impressive.

Tell me, do you still keep in touch with your old friends from your time in Belmarsh?

I had the good fortune to meet your fragrant wife Mary at a fundraiser a few years back. Do please give her my regards.
Vaccinated by the love of Jesus!!!

Kind woman, you must be confused. Although I am working on a book as we speak, I am not the Archer you see me as. Please, go lie down, you must be exhausted from your daily chores. I have never married, and although I hope I will, I don't see it in the near future. I'll just have to leave that to God's hands.

Indeed! It is so nice to see a manly promise. As our Forum is in direct communication with Jesus, it is best to remind you how God endorses your promise.

                    Deuteronomy 23:23
That which is gone out of thy lips thou shalt keep and perform; even a freewill offering, according as thou hast vowed unto the LORD thy God, which thou hast promised with thy mouth.

Welcome Mr Archer, I like your introduction except for the sentence I've quoted, which I would have reworded "I like to stick to the nature that God created, and see God in things".
But a most promising introduction, especially for one so new to finding our Lord.
