Careful, boy. Back that up with the Bible, or get out of here. Our Pastors are very nice people for not banning you for saying that!

Are you saying a rich Pastor is not a Pastor, but a sinner? Mmm...

One form of prosperity is material. Not materialistic, just common old garden variety material. Something to eat so you don't starve. A warm bed. A nice fire or somewhere for a swim in summer.

Worms don't have this problem, they just eat dirt and there's an abundance of dirt. Worms don't need to keep a bit of spare dirt somewhere just-in-case or have sufficient funds available to by some dirt if visitors turn up unexpectedly.

But we are not worms. Food can run out, beds can disintegrate, fires can go out and swimming pools can crack open. When that happens, barter conventions are used to provide more food or beds or whatever = tokens in some cases or gold or a running inventory or fiat currencies. There are all sorts of ways to prosper and not starve or freeze. The usual method is money in the bank. This is material prosperity.

Another type of prosperity would be prosperity of the soul. That means a good relationship with Jesus Christ who is God. Then He won't dump us into hell. The wording in John's epistle addresses BOTH of these. NOT JUST ONE. BOTH.
III John 1:2 Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health
THIS IS THE FIRST TYPE OF PROSPERITY. MATERIAL PROSPERITY.
THE KEYWORD IS HEALTH, WHICH DERIVES FROM ADEQUATE FOOD,
    SHELTER, WARMTH AND RECREATION.
    even as thy soul prospereth.
THIS IS THE OTHER TYPE OF PROSPERITY. PROSPERITY OF THE SOUL,
WHICH DERIVES FROM WALKING IN THE TRUTH. THE TRUTH MEANS
    WHATEVER AGREES WITH THE BIBLE.
III John 1:3 For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth.
The blue word shows cause and effect from verse 2.
What I'm trying to say is that the prosperity gospel has nothing to do with jesus. It's a sinful practice. Pastors arent supposed to be rich people

That verse doesn't mean to say get lots and lots of money. Prospering is meant in a spiritual sense and means a non materialistic way to prosper.

We have no need for money where we are going. All of the materialistic stuff of the world will not last for ever. God is eternal money is not.

The main thing prosperity preachers do is worship money not God. They dont care about God and by the way the IRS is investigating alot of people who preach the prosperity gospel because they are involved in criminal activities like stealing and money laundering which are sins

The prosperity gospel does not mean anything spiritual it only means get more money

Really one was injured? :/ Dang I didnt hear about that.

I know Catholics are bad but this fire is awful. A historical landmark was just destroyed.

Yes we should definitely pray for the firefighter! I really hope they get the treatment they need

Nope. I'm reading what is written, rather than making up confusing explanations that God didn't mean what the Bible says.

I know that the news has said that it's not connected to terrorism but something smells fishy about the fire. The fact that it's been targeted by an ISIS supporter in the past raises my suspicions. I'm sure that when the investigation deepens the accidental label may be removed.

I'm so relieved that there was no reported injuries

What a shame such a famous church :/ May God bless the attendees and keep them safe and heal their sorrow.
    Dear sinner,

Your reading of the news is as accurate as your Bible reading skills. There was a serious injury and it has been reported all over the news:
Le feu survenu lundi 15 avril à Notre-Dame de Paris a fait un blessé, un pompier, selon le général Jean-Claude Gallet, commandant de la BSPP. Nous ne connaissions pas son état mardi matin.
In addition, the Title tells us that it was serious:
    Un pompier sérieusement blessé
Although this injury is a sign of the depraved state of the French nation (and Papism), we should still pray for this firefighter and hope that the events described in Joel will soon come into fruition:

    Joel 2:8
Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.
