Well, my outdoor garden is still pretty much in the state of a frozen tundra (not even a single crocus peeking yet), but my potted plants indoor turned into a jungle that blocks all sunlight from entering through the windows!

Dear, I grow flowers, vegetables and some herbs -- both in God's good ground and also in clay pots. Proverbs 12:11 "He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that followeth vain persons is void of understanding." Working in the garden reminds me of the Creation, sadly ruined by selfish pursuits. Even clearing up the rubbish brings great pleasure. Removing the weeds reminds me of the sins that other people (such as my RC hellbound neighbors) get into when they listen to the voice of the devil and how the Lord will banish them to a very hot place. Seeing the new growth of the plants reminds me of how the Lord loves us in blessed re-birth! I hope you're having a blessed day, and I hope your garden thrives, too.

Thank you very much, Mary. My, what a lovely name. It's a favorite of mine, although I do admit that it reminds me of the neighbors as they head off to blaspheme the Lord at their basilica. To answer your question, yes, yes, it's true. Daddy didn't mind the antics, and he actually encouraged it. The crazier they got, then the easier it was to shake the money out of their pockets during offering time. Lunacy does play into it to a certain extent, I'm convinced. For example, I remember when Sister Mary Lou got up to give a testimony about being delivered from a peanut butter demon. Can't say I miss those day, not when I have my good Baptist friends. May God richly bless you, and thank you again.

Why, thank you kindly! I appreciate your good welcome; makes me feel right at home. You are so right, Revelation 8 is such a nice chapter, but what's not to love in the entire book? I often quote verses when the ungodly neighbor's kids look like they'd like to pick my petunias. Hellfire was made for people like that! Have a blessed day and a blessed Sunday in worship.

    Greetings in Jesus' Name!

I am so happy to have found this blessed forum. My dear father was a preacher (Pentecostal) and after many years of dancing and gibberish, I left their churches and sought out Baptist fellowship. I look forward to meeting many interesting and holy members on this good site as we rally to rid the world of sin:

Rev. 8:13 "And I beheld, and heard an angel flying through the midst of heaven, saying with a loud voice, Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabiters of the earth by reason of the other voices of the trumpet of the three angels, which are yet to sound!"
