James: That's perfectly fine that you don't want to know more about me, I am just a random person on the internet after all. At no point did I say I wanted people to show me GOD's love, but I am still honored that everyone tried. It's very admirable. Can you explain exactly what you mean by "the irrefutable," I'm not quite sure what you mean.

Dear Miss Topaz: You are correct about one thing: nobody wants to burn in . It is a torment that lasts forever, as I've mentioned in my earlier posting to you. And that is why the dear gave life, dying on a rugged cross to save you from your revolting, foul, gross, stomach-churning, repulsive sins -- even though you deserve to be on fire in forever.

No, Miss Topaz, you are wrong here: not "everyone" is a fool in some way. You have stumbled upon , where blessed servants are here to give testimony of Grace. For you to include us as fools puts you in a very dangerous position!

Matthew 5:22 "But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire."

I see that you've received an infraction notice for calling acts of weird and for doubting the validity of the -- and rightfully so. The good created Holy laws so that we could learn from obedience. To call laws weird shows a rebellious spirit, and one which will be used against you during Judgment. As for "modern things", there are some "conveniences" that we can do without, and that includes, especially, horrid annoyances such as the types of worldly entertainment that you've mentioned. At the age of 84, I pay no attention to these things and I have no idea what "edm" and "punk" are, but I have heard of that rap stuff. I think I can safely say that "rap" needs a capital "C" in front of it because that is all it is. But what would we expect from nig-nog youths who are too lazy to get a job and make a decent contribution to society?

I hope this helps you, Dear, and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

First off the name change is pure gold. Toe Spaz is hilarious, I might actually use that on everything from now on.

Maxine: I'm sorry you think I'm mean and rude. Can you explain why though? I've also said several times that I appreciate the compassion and love being sent my way from all of you.

Toe Spaz 27--While the most urgent task at hand is to identify your sin and cast it out, we could devote a small amount of time listening to you explain why you rejected Jesus. Why have you rejected Him? Who influenced you to do such a thing?

Hi. Welcome to the forum. I've read your posts and am curious about one aspect in particular.
people pick and choose what parts of the Bible they agree with. For me it's only makes sense to *follow* all of it or none of it.
I don't agree with everything in the Bible.
Why would it make sense to follow something you don't agree with?

Re: I'm an arrogant donkey's butt

That is an amazing question. The answer is simple, l love learning about religion.

I grew up Lutheran, and was told that our church was a bit more "laid-back" then other forms of Christianity, which always intrigued me. Where I'm from (not Utah) there are a lot of Mormons, so I got interested and tried to read their additional scripture. It was too boring for 13 year old me. Eventually I met some Muslims, and I decided to pick up a Qa'ran and read it. I found it fascinating, and wanted to learn more. I took a class about religion and we learned about all kinds of religions, from all over the globe. But I really liked Buddhism and Daoism/Taoism. So I researched them some more, and at one point wanted to become Daoist. But there are flaws in it, like most religions. And eventually I found this site, and remembered what intially got my interested in religion, so I made a post.
                    Long story, but who cares.

You are right, most religions are flawed. Typically, some wack job gets thrown out of Christianity and 'offers the kool-aid' to a bunch of diminished capacity people (sheeple) that follow the leader (like lemmings) to the new Church. This new leader tells the core group what they want to hear and provides encouragement and self affirmation. Once the group gets big enough, it splinters into 'management nd workers' where management take all the spoils and the worker toil for their new masters. It breaks my heart.
This is why we are Baptists and only follow the Word of God as He had written in the KJV. We are free of course, to do as each of us pleases knowing full well the consequences of our actions. No one forces anyone to do anything. We do not pray to false Gods. We have our Pastors, Senior Church Elders and Biblical Theologians to help guide us. The Church is self supporting though generous yet meager donations.

It is with Christian joy in my heart that I greet you this sunny Saturday morning, Miss Spaz. May the Lord be kind to you today. I do have one question. Is it difficult being a fool? I mean that with all due respect, but the Lord tells us in His Word that only a fool doubts the reality of a GOD. And if He tells us this Himself, how can we not believe in Him - or, in your case - not be sure?

My LORD and my GOD created the world in which I woke up today. I felt His Presence in the morning dew, in the robin's song, and in the smell of the microwave bacon I had just moments ago. As I thanked Him for it, He told me He loved me. I hear His still small voice all the time - it directs me, permeates my being, and gives me peace. I can't imagine not having the assurance that my soul is headed for glory someday. I can't imagine not having the Presence of the Lord in my life daily.

Your name has been carefully added to my electronic prayer list. I have you set to appear every three days. Jesus will hear your name and you will soon become a believer, because He told me that anything I ask for in His Name will be done. I can't wait to hear how your Salvation(R) takes place!

I had nothing to do with any changes. I find letting sinners bury themselves is Gods Will and there is no need for my insignificant help. I see myself as His Holy Janitor. Wiping up spills and fetching.

No doubt, everyone misunderstands you. You see, a lack of conviction does that. You cannot waffle through life and assume "I'll figure it out later". "Later" comes sooner than you think. Then you have the infamous 'death bed repent'. God is no idiot, He has seen it countless times in the past and therefore is not fooled by such antics. From what I've heard from inside sources, those people are the ones He likes to toy with. Just as these people begin to lose consciousness, He tells them that He is there and comforts them. Then He douses them with fuel oil and kicks them to Hell, placing bets on at what depth they will burst into flames and fall screaming in agony.

                            I'll pray for your soul

Larry: like I said before, everyone is a fool in some way. And I believe being a fool is very easy. Ignorance is bliss after. But of course easy is different from healthy. I think it's great that you love GOD so much, and that you dedicate your life to him. I have nothing but respect for that. Thank you for praying for me that is very kind. I hope you continue to have a good day.

James: I apologize, someone from your church told me, so I just assumed it was true. I have conviction, just not to a religion. I have morals, ethics, etc. They just don't line up with yours. Which is perfectly fine in my opinion. If GOD is real, I don't know if I'll go to heaven, I'll have to see. Thank you for your prayers. That's very sweet of you.

The thing is, dear, where do you get these morals/ethics (as you call them) from? People who say they have their own morals/ethics are just claiming the special privilege of making them up for themselves! I'm sure Jeffrey Dahmer was perfectly comfortable with his own "moral standards". But without some sort of moral compass derived from Jesus, we are all lost.

I do urge you to read the Bible properly: not just the bits that say what you want it to say, but all of it. In case you do not have access to a paper copy of the King James Version, here is a link to the online version. You will find it well worth your while.
