    I'm an arrogant donkey's butt

Hello everyone, First off, I'm agnostic. But I am not looking to debate here. If you really want to debate my email is ***personal data removed for your safety*** and I would be happy to talk there. But on this page I want to learn about your beliefs.
I would like to learn about:
    • Your "hot topic" beliefs. Abortion, gay marriage, gay rights, racial matters, the economy, healthcare, transgenders, etc.
    • Serious topics that aren't commonly debated today. Incest, child hunger, the state of Africa, space exploration, etc.
    • Biblical interpretation. Basically do you take the Bible as 100% truth, or are some mistranslations. Also does the Bible ever contradict itself.
    • Anything else that makes your community special.
Once again I'm not looking to debate here, just to learn. I also have beliefs, and I am willing to share them. If you would like to debate you can contact me via email at ***personal data removed for your safety***.

My beliefs do not accurately portray all athiests/agnostics.

    Welcome to our forum, Topaz.
If you do not want to debate you came to the right place. This is not a debate forum. If you want to learn what we believe, read the Bible. We believe all of it.
What we would like to do is save you from an eternity in hell. By telling us you are an agnostic also tells us God has a fire waiting with your name on it. Please explain why you would want to spend eternity in hell rather than simply accept Jesus.
Isaiah 24:1-3 Behold, the LORD maketh the earth empty (2)...as the taker of usury, so with the giver of usury to him. (3) The land shall be utterly emptied, and utterly spoiled: for the LORD hath spoken his word.

Well I don't think anyone wants to burn in hell.I think it's quite obvious that if everyone believed in hell, and knew it was true, there would be no wrongdoings in the world.

I do not know what will happen when I die.
Which is why I try to be as kind and loving of a person as possible. I also do this because, why would you not?

Welcome friend! You sure have a lack of knowledge for a person who has made up their mind. Sort of like a bag with heated air. It appears to have substance but when looked inside, nothing is found.

I suggest reading the KJV Bible. Then search our inviting forum. Read every post. Then feel free to ask for clarification. Do not expect to sit there and have people spoon feed you. It makes you obese and you become thought of as a fool. You are not a fool, are you?
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Amos 3:6 Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?
Numbers 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.
Matthew 10:34 Think not that I am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
Matthew 10:35 For I am come to set a man at variance against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
Matthew 10:36 And a man's foes shall be they of his own household.

I haven't made up my mind, which is why I am agnostic. Also everyone is a fool in some way, that's human nature. I must admit I truly do not know a lot about this religion, which is why I'm here.I have been looking at posts, and have already read the Bible, but would still like to learn more.

I'm hoping you all can help me decide if this is the correct religion for me or not. The best way to do that, is of course to learn.

Help, Miss Topaz, and to , at . We’re pleased that you’ve found your way here, and we look forward to getting to know you.

You have some mildly interesting beliefs (as if roasting in hell for all of eternity would be of interest to anybody.) But, hopefully, by visiting with us, you will see the Truth of the Gospel of and how you, too, can be saved from the terrors of eternal damnation -- which you so surely deserve due to your disgusting sins -- by repentance and having write your name in Book of Life.

John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

Revelation 20:15 "And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."

Our beliefs about abortion, homersexualism, “gay marriage” (which is anything but gay/joyous) and various other situations are based on what the says. These things are SINS. I’ll repeat that. They are SINS — abominations unto the , things that He detests. Even though people know they should not be doing these things, they delight in insulting the Almighty. And that disobedience is what will land people smack in the middle of the lake of fire — forever. And, "forever" means just that: no chance of escaping, no second chances; all of the wailing and screeching for mercy will have no effect then. That’s why you must accept the NOW, as your .

Isaiah 55:6 " Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near".

Now, I could go on, and on, but I think you’ll get the general idea from what I’ve included here. The truth is that we do not cherry-pick our favorite verses from -- we believe in ALL of this blessed book.
II Timothy 3:16 "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness".
I do hope that you will open the and seek the love of the shed of the while He may be found.
            Sincerely, Isabella W.

Hello, Topaz. It is nice to see someone here who has an inkling of how to conduct a polite inquiry.

Your point about how if everyone believed in hell they would all behave nicely is mistaken, though.

Many people who believe in hell think that they can have a priest say magic words over them just before they die and that will allow them to escape hell. Many other people think that hell is for other people but not them because they believe some limited percentage of the Bible and try to follow that.

We believe that the Bible teaches that hell is for everybody who doesn't believe and FOLLOW 100% of the Bible 100% of the time. The God of the Bible is a lot tougher than many people think that He is. If you make a point of reading the less well-known or popular verses, you will see that this is the Truth(tm).

True Christians™ never do wrong, dear. We're impervious to the works of the devil. Why would you not want to be immune from Sin? You know, Sin is the only thing our Heavenly Father is looking for when you die. If He sees your soul tainted with sin, He will be utterly disgusted, and probably suffers the cosmic equivalent to painful and violent nausea. I'm just guessing that, in part based on the fact that despite any "nice" things you do, He still sees you as disgusting as a crusty old she-Jew menstrual rag (Isaiah 64:6).

I think you need to really read the Bible again, and not just look at the pictures in Deuteronomy.

Christianity is the only True Religion™ and only Baptists actually follow EXACTLY what the ENTIRE Bible says. You must do what God prescribes, no matter what you think. Sure, it is easy to sit around, smoking the maryjuanna all day, huffing paint, eating and defecating. Or you could be a God fearing Christian.

                  Consider this:
You're riding your bike, all proud because your dad took off the training wheels. A Good Humor truck comes and runs over your gut, causing your body to burst and spray entrails all over the street.

                  You're dead
Whether due to your own disgusting sinning or the Lords divine will, you are dead. Instantly your soul begins falling towards the black abyss above Hell. The falling seems eternal as you gather speed and the heat begins to grow. Then you notice a red dot below you growing larger by the second, this is the Lake in the center of Hell. It is the brightest point in Hell therefore it is visible for a great distance. Keep in mind that the farther you fall, the further from Christ you are.
As you gain speed and the flames become apparent you may wonder how you can stop this from happening. The answer is simple. It's too late and you can't, you're doomed. Your soul is damned and it WILL happen. The temperature is now approaching the unbearable limit as your flesh begins to smoulder and ignite and you continue to build speed as you plummet toward the now visible boiling Lake of Fire. You can almost make out individual souls thrashing in the magma with your flaming eyesockets. Soon you will join them, your terror mounts as your screams become gargled with the stench of Hells evil smell. The heat becomes excruciating as you notice your skin peeling away and your bones becoming visible and black. Flaming and screaming in anguish, you splashdown into the acidic brimstone of Satans Lake at around 250 MPH. You are instantly vaporized and reformed as a tormented soul writhing in absolute terror in the deafening depths of the Lake that Burns Eternal. The pain is beyond comprehension as you gnash your teeth so hard they shatter in your mouth. Satan periodically plucks you from the flames to savagely rape repeatedly and casually tosses you to his infernal minions to rip apart and rape at will, only to be reformed and have this scenario repeated...over and over and over, forever.
Is it still funny mocking our mission to Save© your soul? We want you to enjoy Heaven and eternal praise and worship at the feet of our Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ.

Unless you are Saved™ by Jesus Christ and His Holy website and favorite church, Landover Baptist, there is no other way to avoid this.

                    Re: I'm agnostic

This is in regards to the four previous posts.

Thank you Isabella for welcoming me and explaining some aspects of your beliefs to me.

To handmaiden: I agree, I find it very hypocritical when people pick and choose what parts of the Bible they agree with. For me it's only makes sense to believe in all of it or none of it.

To Mary, I think it's a little absurd to believe that True Christian™ is immune to sin. In fact I'm guessing that most have sinned to some degree. Look to Leviticus 19:19 and of course Leviticus 11:7-8. Which roughly say that you shouldn't wear clothing with more than one material and that you shouldn't eat pork, respectively. Thank you for your response though.

To James, I apologize if I've offended you in any way, that is not my goal. If you read my first post, I basically say that I am here to learn about your religion. I am glad you explained your view on death though, that is very helpful. I also believe that it is amazing that you want to help others, I find that very respectable.

Thank you for your responses, and I hope to hear back. And to learn more in the future.

So you say that Bible lies when it says so? So is that the one bit of the Bible that does not conform to your "all or none" standard?

1st John 3:6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
1st John 3:7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
1st John 3:8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
1st John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.

1st John 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

In fact I'm guessing that most have sinned to some degree.
You can keep on guessing - I prefer to trust the Bible.

Look to Leviticus 19:19 and of course Leviticus 11:7-8. Which roughly say that you shouldn't wear clothing with more than one material
Have you seen me wearing mixed fabrics?

and that you shouldn't eat pork, respectively.
That is one of very few Old Testament laws which were lifted in the New Testament.

                        Re: I'm agnostic

I want to apologise for not being clear in my previous post. I was not trying to accuse anyone of anything. I also worded a part of it incorrectly.

                        When I said:
I find it very hypocritical when people pick and choose what parts of the Bible they agree with. For me it's only makes sense to believe in all of it or none of it.

                        I actually meant:
find it very hypocritical when people pick and choose what parts of the Bible they agree with. For me it's only makes sense to *follow* all of it or none of it.

A very slight distinction, but I think it's very important.

With the clothes, I obviously do not know what you wear. It was just food for thought.

Then the verses about pork being lifted in the New Testament, to me, seems weird. If it was the word of GOD to begin with, why would it need to be changed?
If only I had a brain....

That is a very good question and the answer is: marketing. The Old Testament was written for the Israelites. God loved them and nobody else. (Please feel free to check the Jesus is xenophobic thread, all the relevant verses are spelled out there). After Jews killed Jesus, even though God knew it would happen and in fact it had to happen in order for Jesus to be resurrected, God stopped loving Jews and moved His love to anyone who would listen. However, in order to make this new religion more palatable for non-Jews, a couple of rules have been lifted: unclean foods and circumcision.

Also, please note that here at Landover we do follow 100% of the Bible - even the many, many parts which sound disgusting and immoral from 21st century point of view. That's because we adhere to Biblical morals, not contemporary ethics.

                          I hope that was helpful.

So if someone tells you that you'll get 72 virgins in paradise if you only highjack a plane and crash it into a building, you'll say "I dunno, maybe, I've not made up my mind, who am I to judge, I guess try everything once"?

Basilissa, that's really interesting information that I did not now. Thank you for that nugget of knowledge.

Jeb, I'm not quite sure why you said that. Could you please explain?

I was also wondering what your religions views are on modern things. Such as video games, for example, Pokemon. Also on new genres of music such as edm, punk, and rap.
