    Um, Hello.

I guess, I am new. I came to this board because I had read a peice of literature from it and, well, I found it to be beyond dubious. Knowing that my type of people are looked down upon on this board makes speaking to people beyone daunting. I guess, the only way I will last very long is to be more polite than the other guy. And, on that note, I guess I have been introduced.

          Re: Um, Hello.

I have read most of the New, and parts of the old testament. The problem is, I feel like some of the people on this message board who say they are christians, do more to hurt Jesus's message then help.

That''s YOUR problem, not GOD's. We preach the ENTIRE Bible, not just the sissy parts. What, exactly do you object to and I will find you the Scripture.

Sorry that I find a message of compassion in one part and a message of wrath in another to be at odds with each other.

Well, is that not EXACTLY what is written in the Bible?

Written by whom is my question. I feel that some of the bible's message is the true word, but other parts were written in by people, and those delude god's message.

A common problem, you trust in your own heart, in your own ideas.
And so you have created a god of your own in your head, a god created in your image!

You do not trust in the true Lord, you trust in yourself!
You need to put blind trust in the Lord, as your heart is better put to use trusting in God's wisdom, than in trying to understand Him.

He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool:
But whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered.
                    Proverbs 28:26

Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
                    Proverbs 3:5
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

I though god made me in his image first. By logic, my creating him in my image would be creating an accurate image of god.

What a wonderful display of logic. Have you ever considered the ministry as a career?

Then nobody could be delusional on anything. But there are lots of delusional people.
                          And you know it.

It is because man is only made in His IMAGE, we are not a COPY of Him, nor will we ever be.
So stop with these attempts at "logic", without the Holy Spirit to guide you, I'm afraid your logic will always be faulty.

Column? We are not trying to debate you, we're simply trying to point out the inaccuracies in your beliefs so that you may become a True Christian™ like us and go to Heaven. We're trying to save your soul from everlasting damnation, and you have responded with mindless venom-spewing and a declaration of "victory"—when, in fact, the only victory is that of Satan, in whose clutches your soul is soon to reside. I pity you, child.
