Hello to all.

Username's talan1590. I am indeed a Christian, and I do believe the Bible and God, I have been baptised, and have asked God and Jesus into my heart. Oh, and I do attend a Babtist church, I am highly involved with the music program there. And I'm currently 17.

Unlike Corbenk and Pride, and alot of the new members, whom I know, I am not going to do all the things to get under your skin. Although some of the posts made in response have been pretty funny to read.

If that's your idea of the Image of God, you're in need of a reality check.

A Baptist church is what you're looking for, and you've certainly come to the right place. Friend, once you have known the pleasures of a personal relationship with Christ, all thoughts of idolatry shall perish from your mind.

As for your music, be VERY careful.

God makes it quite clear that musical instruments, when not played by one of His angels, can be twisted into tools of the Devil, and by their very operation can do great evil against our LORD. If I were you, I'd toss that trumpet onto a bonfire and pick up a Bible instead!

Okay, now I'm mad. I was willing to give this place a chance. I am indeed a 17 year old in High School. I currently attend Woodland Heights Babtist Church in Conway, Arkansas. My church has a long standing event known as Festival of Praise that takes place in November of each year. I am involved in the youth choir and the youth orchestra and church orchestra. I personally hate it when people make hasty generalizations and basically makes hateful remarks to another. I'm pretty sure thats a sin, going against one of the 10 Commandments: Love thy neighbor. Just because I know them doesn't mean that I am like them. From what I believe, one sin isn't worse than another, all of them are equal. And defying this commandment is just as bad as commiting adultry. They're all horrible in God's eyes.

Believing that one church is superior to all others is not a good way to invite people or get people to like it. I'm pretty sure that is a form of hubrous and excessive pride. Not a nice thing IMO.

You do know that this is a remake by King James, and is not the original words of God, right? Technically, if you want the true bible, you have to learn Aramaic. And personally, I don't see what a difference a few words changed here and there make. My Bible is the NIV. All that matters is that you understand the meaning behind the words.

Virginia D. Templeton spelled Baptist just as I spelled it right here. But Brother Love spelled it as Babtist. Personally I think that someone needs to make up there minds.

I was posting for future reference.

And what I play is not a trumpet, I play the marimba. Its like a giant piano that is played with mallets. What I'm mainly into is like the marching band music, such as Drum Corps groups. WHICH ARE CHRISTIAN ORGANIZATIONS. Each corps that I've seen prays to God at every camp, before every show, as well as many other times.

The Ku Klux Klan is a "Christian organization." The Roman Catholic Church is a "Christian organization." Even the YMCA, gathering place and command center for militant homosexuals the world over, claims to be a "Christian organization." Of course, none of these groups actually practice God's Word, so their self-proclaimed Christianity is nothing more than a cynical charade and a slap in the face to True Believers.

Not everything that is a Christian organization can be proven with Biblical support. But I can tell you this. From what I've seen and been involved with, boy scout groups are Christian right? yes, I used to be a boy scout before I got involved with my music.

Just one thing I was thinking about. All the people here say that they hate sinners. I and can't argue. But one question. Who in the world can say that on any given day, say today, that they have not sinned aside from the Holy Trio? Yes, they may not be physically on Earth, but you get what I mean when I include them. They're always around.

No, I am not a catholic. And its called a marimba. And I am 100% Baptist. Born and raised for 17 years.

In fact, I try to convert many of the Catholics I know quite often. The views of Catholics I find absurd. Such as the idea of Limbo, once you get set in Heaven or Hell, you are there to stay for eternity.
