Well, take a Mexican family. They, of course, speak Spanish. Never leaving the country, the have no need to speak English. No one has informed them that English is the "language of God". Can they be held responsible for not speaking English, then? Ignorance is a fully bona fide excuse. Even Jesus said it. (I don't have my Bible on me at the moment, so you'll have to do without the numbers for now). "Forgive them Father, they know not what they do." Were Jesus's words on the cross.

Jesus may have, I'm not sure. Most saints spoke Latin, as it was the language of scholars in the Middle Ages. Most, if not all, early Christians spoke Latin as well. "Papist scum" are in no way the only people to speak/use the Latin language.
Only Papist scum and homeroids from Greece ever bothered to speak Latin after the fall of Rome.

We shall see how saved you truly are.
        Answer me these simple questions:

        1. Have you sinned since accepting Jesus?
        2. Do you keep the law?
        3. What's your relationship to your family?
        4. How do you pray? And how often? Details please, but don't boast!
        5. Are you baptized, and if so, when were you baptized?

Kev, you better answer these questions too.
Jesus is VERY serious about these things!

Jesus HIMSELF was baptized by John the BAPTIST.
Not "John the cathylick" or whatever.

If you aren't baptized, you won't go to Heaven.
        He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved;
But he that believeth not shall be damned.

          1. Yes I have sinned since accepting Jesus. But who hasn't? I daily ask for forgiveness. Although I try not to sin, it is impossible not to sin. But if you can tell me of one person who never sins, besides Jesus, I will take this one back.
          2. Yes I do keep the law of God as best as I can.
          3. My family and I are very close. Without them, I don't know what I would do. Nothing is as important as family, NOTHING.
          4. I pray on a daily basis. After I wake up, and before I go to bed, asking that I please be forgiven for my sins that I had commited. Although to I try not to sin, I know its like impossible for me not to. Then I pray before every meal, and also whenever I feel that I need to be able to talk to Him.
          5. I was baptized on my Birthday when I turned 12 or 13. Its been at least 4 years since then.

Okay, I was going to not ruin the truth of this place to others. But you guys keep on insulting me. I was going to try to be nice, and just leave. But by saying that my questions are dumb, when I don't know them, thats an insult to my intelligence. Yes, I may not know the answers, but you don't have to insult me for it.

            Friend,

If you truly turned your life over to Christ then how can you sin? Remember "Perseverance of the Saints" friend? If you can still sin after accepting Christ that may mean you were never one of His Chosen Elect like us TRUE Christians.

God says in many places in the Bible that people are to be baptized only AFTER they receive and understand the Word. Catholics baptize infants, who are not capable of understanding.

                Here are but two examples.

                Acts 2:41
Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

                Acts 8:12-13

But when they believed Philip preaching the things concerning the kingdom of God, and the name of Jesus Christ, they were baptized, both men and women.

Then Simon himself believed also: and when he was baptized, he continued with Philip, and wondered, beholding the miracles and signs which were done.

The Bible also exclusively supports baptism by immersion, not the little sprinkling of water many "churches" use:

                Matthew 3:6
And were baptized of him in Jordan, confessing their sins.

                Matthew 3:16

And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

                Mark 1:5

And there went out unto him all the land of Judaea, and they of Jerusalem, and were all baptized of him in the river of Jordan, confessing their sins.

                And those who refuse Jesus?

                Luke 3:7

Then said he to the multitude that came forth to be baptized of him, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Baptists are the only Christians who perform baptism by immersion and limit baptism to those who are capable of understanding and have stated that they accept and will follow the Word of God.

Further, Landover Baptists (along with occasional other Independent Baptist groups) are the only Baptists who acknowledge the King James 1611 Bible as the complete, perfect, and unalterable Word of God (which is exactly what it says it is) and follow every part of it. (Not just the happy nice parts or the rules we like.)

Therefore, LBC Christians and those who follow the same path are the only True Christians.

Mexicans are Catholics. They are held responsible for claiming to be Christian yet praying to idols (statues of Mary and "saints"), for worshipping crackers and wine, for pretending to engage in cannibalism, for calling "priests" father, and for many other basic tenets of the Roman cult.

As brother BJ correctly pointed out, then you have not truly accepted Jesus:
Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not:
Whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
                  1 John 3:6

So you aren't Saved! You're only a liar!
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

Oh, and the way you're interpreting the Bible is not the way it was meant. You're using many parts of it and twisting its meaning. I have two verses for the members here.

Forgot where they're at, but they are EXTREMELY important.

"Those who are without sin, cast the first stone."

I don't think anyone here can cast the stone.

And, "Beware the wolf in sheeps clothing, for he speaks of lies and false prophets"

Something to that matter. I don't know the exact quote. But the meaning is there. And I know that every member here is a wolf.

We interpret nothing. Haven't you been paying attention?

We describe the Bible exactly how it is, not in ways we fantasize about it being, or would like it to be. We describe God and Jesus exactly as the Bible does. Perhaps if you were to read the Bible for yourself, you'd learn this.

Unlike you, we don't come up with "mystery verses" we cannot locate and attempt to hang our hats upon them. We quote the King James 1611 version, word for word. You may look up any of our quotes on your own, and see that they say exactly what we claim.

Since you don't want to take our word on God's Word, I'm going to give you a bit of advice I've given before, and doubtless will give again:

                      Don't listen to us.

Don't listen to Pastor Feelgood, who only tells you the happy bits of the Bible to get you to keep coming back to church.

Don't listen to Mom and Dad.

Sit yourself down with your King James Bible, a blank notebook, and a pen.

                      Start reading.

Take notes on what you read. Where it is in the Bible, so you can find it again, what it is . . . a major event, an action of God, a doctrinal principle, a facet of the Law. Write your own thoughts alongside it. What does that incident say about God? What part of His personality is revealed in that chapter?

                      Then keep reading.

Start at the beginning, end at the end. Then go through your notes and see who God and Jesus are, and what Christianity is about.

We look forward to seeing you again, once you've realized that your Pastor Feelgood is lying to you and we are not.

At four chapters a day, it takes about a year to read the whole Bible. I imagine we'll be hearing from you by mid-February at the latest.

                        Re: Hey

Don't count on it. I'm good and happy with my NIV version and also quite content with the Reverand at my church. I'll believe him over anyone here anyday. Main reason because I know who he is, I've met him in person, which is more than I can say for anyone here. I don't know anyone here in person, so I can't trust you. The way you believe in Christianity, you basically cannot do anything without sinning. You can't play music, you can't read any book except the Bible, you can't learn at school, you can't participate in fun activities except for what you believe are (basically going to church, and reading the bible are the only fun things you will believe), you cant see movies, even if you know their fiction, and if you don't have the channel, you can't even watch tv unless its the Christian channel 24/7/365.

Thank you and good afternoon you bunch of retards.

Oh, and before you start going on a rant on how I'm insulting you or anything, read the posts that have been made to me in this thread. I have been insulted and people have made hasty generalizations about me right after my first post.

the Bible doesn't come in 'versions'. There is one REAL Bible and a lot of FALSE Bibles, one of which is the NIV.

There is ONE REAL Baptist Church....THIS ONE...and a lot of FALSE Churches, like yours, run by Pastor Scooby-doo.

I've not insulted you at all. Thanks for generalizing.

I never asked you to take my word for anything, just to read God's Word. To know what you're talking about before you make your most important life decisions, rather than listening to what someone SAYS the Bible says.

Would you marry a woman without ever meeting her, because your Pastor Feelgood said that she was just your type? I doubt it. But you are willing to believe that your immortal soul is on the right path without getting to know God and Jesus first! There's only one reliable resource to find out who they are, and that's the Bible!

I've pointed out many, many independent resources which demonstrate that NIV is inferior to KJV. Google for more, if you wish.

Your response? "Following God's Word isn't convenient because it's not what I want it to be, so I'm going to go back to Pastor Feelgood who tells me what I want to hear."

Sorry, kiddo. That's the broad boulevard to Hell.

Well, that's probably true. The NIV is a little queerish in parts.

                              Do tell!

Another question. Who says that this church of yours is the only real Baptist Church?

                              GOD.

I don't see anything in the bible that specifically says "the Landover Baptist Church" is the only true Baptist Church in the entire world.

Because Landover wasn't founded by GOD until after He has written the King James Bible of 1611. But trust me, we are it.

Okay, I've made a choice. Thanks to many of those on this site, I'm converting to Muslim. Now I can't wait to get to paradise. (/sarcasm) Just wanted to make the members here mad.
