At the very least I want to see why I should convert. If you have anything good to say, say it now. Or forever (lol) hold your peace.

You don't have to be ashamed to admit you're a homosexual in Jesus's house. Forgiveness is what He's all about. You can give yourself all the fancy names you want; but if you don't get right with Jesus you're still just a sodomite.

Well that's just what Jesus needs around here; a queer that can't make up his mind.

Friend, are you serious about experiencing the warm embrace of Jesus or are you just here to cause trouble?

                  Dear friend:

Thank you for coming with your questions to God's favorite discussion board on the interwebs. A reason to accept Jesus is found in the following often-cited verse:

John 3:16: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

If you believe in Jesus, you'll have everlasting life. Yay! But if that doesn't convince you, let's look at the next two verses:

John 3:17-18: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

So you see? God in His infinite love uses both a carrot and a stick to persuade people to accept His Son. Shout glory!

SS, why not share with us what it is you currently believe?

I, for one, am interested to hear your current positions, what study you have done on the subject of Christianity (or other religions), and what your background is (how you were raised, etc.).

Please do be sure to think your response through before posting, so as to be clear what you mean. I'm not suggesting you haven't so far, but we've had other new members in such a hurry to post that they don't complete their thoughts, and everybody gets all confused.

Brother MSTT gave an excellent summary of the reasons why you should accept Our Lord. For a fuller version of some (but by no means all) of the Lord's sticks and carrots, may I recommend you give Leviticus 26 a look?
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

                        No problem!

Do you want to burn forever in hell?
That is what's going to happen if you don't convert!

                        If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered;
And men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
                        John 15:6

Yet if you do accept Jesus, you will go to Heaven! Glory!
BUT ONLY IF you keep His law, as otherwise you have not truly accepted Him.
FALSE Christians will tell you otherwise, but do not believe them:

And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected:
Hereby know we that we are in him.
                        1 John 2:3-5

Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
                        James 2:17

This is why you CANNOT be a homersexual (or bi) and have accepted Jesus, it is not possible to sin if you have accepted Him.
So for one, to truly accept Jesus, you must STOP being bi!
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.
                        James 2:10

Jesus is returning soon, friend. And He is going to judge the world!
Those who oppose Jesus at His return will be slain:
And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth:
And all the fowls were filled with their flesh.
                        Revelation 19:21

And God tells us that whoever is not with Him, is AGAINST Him!
Surely, you don't want to be against God?

He that is not with me is against me:

And he that gathereth not with me scattereth.
                        Luke 11:23

                        So if you, despite this, aren't convinced;
If you cannot find any other reason..
Then convert for your own sake!
Burning in hellfire forever, that's no place you want to be!

                        PRAISE JESUS.
MAY YOU SEE THE ERROR OF YOUR WAYS, AND REPENT OF YOUR SINS.
                        AMEN.
If thou be wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself: But if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.
A foolish woman is clamorous: She is simple, and knoweth nothing.

I am a Wiccan. I believe that there is an energy that flows through everything. Anyone can tap into that energy and use it for their will. I have studies many other religions. They all sacrifice to reach God. In Christianity, God sacrifices to reach man. Christians all seemed so "holier-than-thou that I never gave them a chance. I realized that what I was doing was unfair so I am now giving Christianity a chance. This is what I have so far: It is based on the belief that Jesus Christ, born of the virgin Mary in Bethlehem of Judea approximately 2,000 years ago, was the longed-for Messiah to the Jews, the Son of God, the manifestation of the God of Abraham in a physical body. His death, burial, resurrection and ascension were all pivotal events in the history and spiritual development of this world. His crucifixion provided forgiveness of sins and restoration to fellowship with God; his resurrection displayed the hope of eternal life for all who believe. Christianity teaches the return of Jesus to this earth, when the kingdom of God will be fully established in this world. The Scripture base of Christianity is the Bible, comprised of the Old Testament (adopted from Judaism) and the New Testament. I began reading the Bible last night for about a half an hour. I am at Genesis 3.

Shout praise! That's wonderful that you've begun reading the Bible (King James, right?), and there's no better place to begin than in the beginning. I strongly urge you to read the Bible straight through, Genesis to Revelation, so that you can see our wonderful faith in all of its glory.
