    Re: Hello All

Hmmmmm, I guess the truth hurts doesn't it? It must since I got penalized again by Pastor Ezekiel for saying the KJV is not better than another Bible out there...and I just stated some real facts about how that Bible came about to be...a Bible is a Bible people...can any of you tell me what the Bible's theme is?

He won't read it thoroughly. He'll ignore the majority of it just like he ignores the majority of any post directed at him.

He's too lazy to learn and he thinks he knows everything, just because he has skimmed through a few Bible versions, and he thinks that if he repeats his mantra of "a Bible is a Bible" enough times, it will become true. I'm almost certain he didn't take that open-Bible quiz that I linked for him.

            Re: Hello All

There you go again, being judgmental again, without even knowing the true facts. Skimmed through a few Bible versions....if you only knew sir...I probably know and understand the Bible more than you'll ever know and understand it... as for your quiz, I took it, I saw a whole pack of lies too...Pastor Ruben and all of you here, you don't know shit about the Bible, you claim to have the only real Bible and condemn the rest of the Bibles of this world, let me enlighten you, you really read the Bible, you would NOT condemn anyone or their Bible, because any Bible of this world, and I am not talking about the Koran or other books like that, I am talking about the Bible and only what 100 % of all other people call the Bible, they ARE all the same, and you have failed to answer my question, all of you, to tell me what the main theme of the Bible is, let me tell you what the theme of the Bible is, the theme of the Bible is proclaiming God's Kingdom and and the sanctification of his Name, which all of you ignorant dumbasses fail to acknowledge, if you were to do a real research on His real name you would realize that his name is Jehovah and you and that so-called God inspired King James of England omit that from your so-called real Bible. At least the JWs have researched it properly and put His name in the correct places as it should be, as a university of religious studies has ven said about their Bible:

In 2003 Jason BeDuhn, associate professor of religious studies at Northern Arizona University in the United States, published a 200-page study of nine of “the Bibles most widely in use in the English-speaking world,” including the New American Bible, The King James Bible and The New International Version. His study examined several passages of Scripture that are controversial, where “bias is most likely to interfere with translation”. For each passage, he compared the Greek text with the renderings of each English translation, and he looked for biased attempts to change the meaning. BeDuhn states that the general public and many Bible scholars assume that the differences in the New World Translation (NW) are due to religious bias on the part of its translators. However, he states: “Most of the differences are due to the greater accuracy of the NW as a literal, conservative translation.” While BeDuhn disagrees with certain renderings of the New World Translation, he says that it emerges as the most accurate of the translations compared,” calling it a “remarkably good” translation.

Dr. Jason BeDuhn, states of the NWT that its “translation of John 1:1 is superior to” the other translations he considered. He continues, “It may well be that the NW translators came to the task of translating John 1:1 with as much bias as the other translators did. It just so happens that their bias corresponds in this case to a more accurate translation of the Greek. ... The NW translation of John 1:1 is superior to that of the other eight translations we are comparing. I do not think it is the best possible translation for a modern English reader; but at least it breaks with the KJV tradition followed by all the others, and it does so in the right direction by paying attention to how Greek grammar and syntax actually work.”
So put that in your pipe and smoke it...have fun you all, enjoy your debauchery of your so-called True Christianity, because you could not be further from the Truth, this will be my last post because I have decided to put an end to all this debacle because I realize you're just a waste of my precious time...now, I think I will be studying the Bible with my JW friend, notice I did not say the real Bible or the only true Bible, because I am not like that, all Bible ARE the same, just expressed in different type of English, but you are too blind to even see this...

I'm afraid you'll have to give me an example of anything on that quiz page that isn't true.

My ability to see that all Bibles are not created equal and do not convey the same message means that I am blind, but your inability to distinguish one from the other means you can see?

Are Bibles that are missing important words, phrases, and even entire verses that existed in the original text are just as good as Bibles that are complete?

Are Bibles that phrase passages in such a way as to cast doubt on the divinity of Jesus just as good as Bibles that retain the original meaning of the passages?

Are Bibles translated by homosexual activists to downplay God's admonitions against homosexuality just as good as Bibles that stick to the original text?

Are Bibles whose copyright is controlled by a company that prints gay sex how-to manuals and The Satanic Bible just as good as a Bible that is in the public domain that anyone can print and freely distribute?

                Re: Hello All

                From my sermon HERE.

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Not according to the new Bible Per-Versions!

Not according to the New International Version (NIV), New American Standard Version (NASV), New Living Bible, New Revised Standard Versions (NRSV), Revised Standard Version (RSV), The Living Bible (TLV), Today's English Version, Contemporary English Version (CEV), International Standard Version: (ISV) and the other Per-Versions!

Revelation 1:5 clearly reads in the King James Bible:

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (KJV)
But you are NOT "washed in the blood" in the New Per-Versions . . .

                American Standard Version (ASV) reads:

                and from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loveth us, and loosed us from our sins by his blood;
                Amplified Bible reads:

and from Jesus Christ the faithful and trustworthy Witness, the First-born of the dead [first to be brought back to life] and the Prince (Ruler) of the kings of the earth. To Him Who ever loves us, and has once [for all] loosed and freed us from our sins by His own blood.
                Contemporary English Version (CEV) reads:

May kindness and peace be yours from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness. Jesus was the first to conquer death, and he is the ruler of all earthly kings. Christ loves us, and by his blood he set us free from our sins.
Good News for Modern Man reads:

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn Son who was raised from death, who is also the ruler of the kings of the earth. He loves us, and by his death he has freed us from our sins
                International Standard Version (ISV) reads:

                and from Jesus Christ, the witness, the faithful one, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To the one who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood;
                Living Bible (TLV) reads:

and from Jesus Christ who faithfully reveals all truth to us. He was the first to rise from death, to die no more. He is far greater than any king in all the earth. All praise to him who always loves us and who set us free from our sins by pouring out his lifeblood for us.
New American Standard Version (NASV) reads:

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loves us and released us from our sins by His blood
                New Century Version (NCV) reads:

and from Jesus Christ, Jesus is the faithful witness, the first among those raised from the dead. He is the ruler of the kings of the earth. He is the One who loves us, who made us free from our sins with the blood of his death.
                New International Version (NIV) reads:

and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,
                New Living Bible reads:

and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness to these things, the first to rise from the dead, and the commander of all the rulers of the world. All praise to him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by shedding his blood for us.
New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) reads:

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and freed us from our sins by his blood
New Testament in Modern English (J.B. Phillips) reads:

and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, firstborn of the dead, and ruler of kings upon earth. To him who loves us and has set us free from our sins through his own blood
                Revised Standard Version (RSV) reads:

and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the first-born of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood
                Today's English Version reads:

and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the first to be raised from death and who is also the ruler of the kings of the world. He loves us, and by his sacrificial death he has freed us from our sins
The shocking FACT is ・NOWHERE in the new Per-Versions do they read "you are washed in the blood"!

I repeat ・NOWHERE do the new Per-Versions read "you are washed in the blood"!

What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus.
What can wash away my sins?
                Nothing . . . According to the new Per-Versions

Oh Happy day when Jesus washed my sins away! ・ Not according to the NIV, NASV, NCV, CEV, at al!

According to the NIV, NASV, NCV, CEV and other Per-Versions ・Jesus Christ did not wash your sins away!

I don't know about you — but thank God (and no thanks to the new Per-Versions) — "I'm Washed in the Blood of the Lamb"!

And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood, (KJV)
                Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)
