Not too sure how, exactly, things on this site operate yet (this is truly an enormous site), but I'll try my hand at an introduction nonetheless:
As you may have noticed, I go by the name "weasel". If anyone should care to know the story behind it, I'd be delighted to tell.
Um...I'm not sure how to go about this, but I have a few questions regarding Christianity. No, I'm not here to flame or troll (I don't understand why someone would waste their time in that practice, anyway), so no need to worry. Guess I'll start:
- I was raised as a Baptist, though sometimes I'm not sure if my childhood church was sincere in their beliefs. I saw so much hypocrisy and heresy that I nearly rejected religion all together. As a result, I'm somewhat shaky in my faith. Could someone tell my what should be done about that?
- I've seen some rather...controversial statements here that don't agree with mainstream philosophy, such as physically repremanding one's wife for a fault she committed. It's a hard concept to agree with, coming from the outside as I am, but I am willing to learn the reasoning behind the belief if anyone should give it.
Hm. Now that I'm here, I can't think of what to say. So many questions, etc., etc. Anyway, thanks in advance for replies.
