Let me be the first to welcome you and thank you for such an encouraging verse. God looked after The Israelites so well that after 40 wilderness years and grinding all their purloined gold to nothing (on day 40) they were able to buy provisions for 3 million odd using money.

The wretches did not appreciate this benefit of commerce, so God sent Obadiah to announce a smiting. Christians are assured that He will care for every need just as He cared for Israel, all those years ago.
