You've presented two questions:

Why are you here? (Alive)

Perhaps a good place to begin to answer that question is to ask who and what you are.

As to why you are here? Because you are. Does there need to be a cause? OK, a sperm from your father met an egg from your mother and implanted in her uterus. That's why you're here. Why are humans here? Because we are.

I can't tell you what to think, but I can tell you that I find far greater value in deciding who I'm going to be today and what I'm going to do, than in looking backwards to figure out what's already past . . . which I can't do anything about, anyway. Where did we come from? Will knowing change my life? Not a bit.

Why are you on this forum? That's something you'll have to answer yourself. Once you figure out who and what you are, I expect it will be easier for you to figure out your own motives.

Ah so there is much to ponder before we achieve the answer?

So first question we must wonder about is the self/soul itself? Does it exist? So much has been said about the very nature and existence of the soul.And then if it not exist myself is only my identity. A mixture of chemical and mental qualities. (You second point about the self I believe) the belief in the soul gives a person a spiritualty. So first things first.. does the soul exist? and in what form?

Firstly I love Austrian Musik. ANd Yes I am well aware many of them had to escape from Nazis, and go to america. I congradulate yous sir! You have heard the works of Hans Rott!! Such a tragic . He died before his musik was well appreciated.
