If you were a criminal, could you not choose to simply stop committing crimes? Why is a sinner choosing to stop sinning any different? If we have free will, why can't we choose to stop sinning? We chose to start sinning. We weren't born sinners. "Original sin" is a lie.

I think you just don't want to stop sinning. You are too in love with your sin, and you don't want to stop. If you love Jesus and want to do His will, then why haven't you stopped sinning like He told you to? What sins are you still enslaved to?

Why would God give us laws and not give us the ability to follow them? What good are laws if they are impossible to obey? Why would Jesus tell us to stop sinning if it were impossible? Jesus said "Go, and sin no more." He didn't say, "go, and try to cut back on the sinning."

I'm sorry, I think you misunderstood me, I am not in love with sinning, yet everybody does it. It is the natural way of man. Everyone does it, for if we don't sin, we are perfect, and we can't be perfect, only the Lord can be. We are not perfect, only he is.

As for people being able to stop committing crimes, some people can't. Because nobody is perfect, some people have issues. Some people can't help but do things that are wrong, because that's literally how they think, with psychological conditions, there's no way around that. Like a kleptomaniac has a neurotic impulse to steal things, even without a real motive. People function differently, and sometimes its not their fault.

You should not push people away and falsely accuse, because you do not know all. You are not dealing with the misguided and ignorant well, let alone gently. You should know you have weaknesses, as does everybody.

Sorry to tell you, but your not sinfree, you may be forgiven for sin and accepted by Jesus, but not sin free. Even Pastors and Priests. Only the Lord is completely sinfree, and he is perfect. You are not the Lord, and are not perfect, if you think so, I feel bad for you.

Even the high priests and pastors have weakness and sin, and so must make sacrifices themselves.
I wouldn't say that condemning me, telling me I don't believe, or giving me infractions is gently dealing with the ignorant or misguided, so if you think I am, please, let me know instead of blocking it out with infractions.
You have sin and weakness as everyone else.

This site seems to be pretty firm in false accusations, and judgments, without really trying to set it straight, so unless you start doing such, I wouldn't mind helping people what being a true christian is all about. So if you think im wrong, let me know the truth before you smash down on me with harsh words, banning, or infractions.

Right, and Jesus said, "Be ye perfect" (Mt 5:48). All you have to do is stop disobeying God. Why is that so hard for you?

What is the sin that you cannot seem to give up? Matthew 18:8-9 might contain some advice for you.

So your logic is SOME people can't (or say they can't), therefore NO ONE can -- is that what you are saying? Are you saying that EVERYONE has a psychological condition that makes us unable to stop sinning? Just for the sake of argument, even if that were true, what do you think happens to us when we are born again? Nothing?

I need you to pay close attention to this passage, I John 3:4-10.

I John 3
4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
-- Here we have the Biblical definition of "sin", which is transgression of the law.
5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin.
-- Jesus came to take away our sins.
6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.
-- If you are saved, you don't sin. If you sin, you aren't saved.
7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous.
8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that he might destroy the works of the devil.
-- If you sin, you are working for the devil.
9 Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
-- Born again Christians do not sin, and CANNOT sin.

-- This is how you can tell a saved Christian from a child of the devil.

Now I need you to think long and hard about why you, if you are the saved Christian you think you are, still have sin in your life.

Do you normally take passages so wildly out of context, or are you really unaware that this passage is talking about Jewish priests and Judaism, not Christian pastors and Christianity? This passage is describing the old repeating cycle of sin followed by sacrifice, followed by more sin, followed by more sacrifice, and so on, which dated back to the time of Moses, and which the Hebrews (i.e. the people to whom this letter was addressed) still practiced.

The book of Hebrews was a letter intended to convert the Jews to Christianity.

Why don't you read what it says in the next chapter?
Heb 6:1-2 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God, Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

Here, the author is letting his audience know that they can be perfect, that they no longer have to repent through "dead works" like sacrificing animals.

Ask yourself, why are you so determined to take a Holy book written by Holy men and dictated by a Holy God, and twist it to justify unholiness?

Please don't think I was trying to tear apart the good book. That isn't why I came.
Repent: "Repentance is a change of thought and action to correct a wrong and gain forgiveness from a person who is wronged. In religious contexts it usually refers to confession to God, ceasing sin against God, and resolving to live according to religious law."
But I still have a hard time believing that you are perfect, I could point some things out.
