    Re: Welcome Wagons?

Welcome to God's favorite forum, Brad. It seems like you came in here with a chip on your shoulder. I'm glad to see you've calmed down a bit.

Please tell us about yourself. Why are you a Christian? Are there any parts of the Bible that you feel squeamish about? Folks who attend liberal churches usually do...

Please take a look at our Church Doctrines, to better understand Landover Baptist. We embrace every word of the Bible.
    Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)

      Re: Welcome Wagons?

I'm a Christian mainly because I was brought up in the church. However, I approach life with common sense in every aspect, which means that even if I had been brought up in a non-religious household, I would have found my way to God. His Creation is all around us, it's obvious that someone intelligent created it, which is why I don't understand how ANYONE could possibly be an atheist.

For a 19-year old, I'm pretty clear on the Bible. Obviously I don't know it by heart, but that will come with time (many, many decades, haha)

And while I'm not 100% conservative, I despise the liberal media. They are entitled to slander Sarah Palin, her husband, and her kids, yet the GOP isn't allowed to talk bad about the Dems. Talk about hypocrisy...
      This is my signature.

It would not hurt to add:

"smote sinners and pagans" to your list. Technically that would be included in the serving God part, but being explicit on such an important point is seen favorably by the Lord.

Jud 1:15 To execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are unGodly among them of all their unGodly deeds which they have unGodly committed, and of all their hard [speeches] which unGodly sinners have spoken against him.

Oh, there really is no such thing as an atheist. Everyone knows God exists, atheists are just evil perverts who are looking for attention and so they just tell lies to shock people. Atheists are probably the most evil people in the world. They are behind 99% of the suffering in the world, I'm sure of it. I can't wait until I go to heaven and get to see them writhing in agony in hell, it will be SO funny!

            Re: Welcome Wagons?

Welcome, Brad! I have a question for you: why, at such a young age, are you looking to marry? Don't you want to live a little before you settle down? All right, I guess that's two questions, I just can't contain my curiosity. Now, by "live a little", I don't mean play the field, or sleep around, or anything even remotely like that; it's just that marriage is a huge commitment to be making, especially when you're young. Most people want to see and experience a bit more before they tie themselves down. Just curious, that's all. I hope you have a lovely time here. Do stick around. (And please don't believe anything the Landoverites might say about me. I'm actually quite sweet.)

            Nice to meet you,
            Alie

Allie, just because you live life like a whore, don't go around pushing it on other people!

(btw, have you rethought my proposal to make an honest woman out of you?)

If marrying you didn't mean giving up my gods, we might be wedded already. If you would be willing to marry me as I am, a Pagan and a Witch, we could be happy together. You just don't want to accept me for who I am.

Welcome Wagins? What are we, Amish?

True Believers drive good old fashioned American cars, not sure what wagons you're referring to. Please clarify.
Cling to your guns and religion. "Change" is here.

I don't know Satan, but I'm sure He's lovely. And besides, you love your god more than you love me. But you know what? I'm okay with that, because no one should ever choose a human being over their god/s. But you're asking me to choose between you and my gods, and I'm sorry, but my gods will always win. I'm sure you'd feel the same if I asked you to choose between me and your god. But I'm not asking you to choose, I'm just asking you to accept me as I am. I don't mind that you're Christian, and I wouldn't push Paganism on you, so I'm not asking you to change your beliefs for me (although that's what you're asking me to do), I'm just asking you to love me, and accept all the things about me, for who I am. Some people consider Christianity to be a flaw in a person you know, but I don't care, because it's part of who you are and I like you just as you are, I accept all of who you are and all the things that come with you - the Christianity too. I don't see why you can't do that for me. I'm sorry, but I won't give up my gods for anyone.

Aaaaaaaanyway, we're derailing this thread. This thread about Brad. Has he even come back since starting this thread?? I suppose the Landoverites have scared him away. Shame that, he was nice. I wonder if he'd come back if I gave him a basket of cookies?
