    Re: Selam'un Al'eykum

If you don't mind, I have some questions about Muslims which nobody will answer for me. They are eating away at my curiosity. All I seek is understanding of your culture.

    1) Does it get confusing having every male being named Muhammad? Like if you're at a Muslim playground, and a mom screams at her kid to get off a landmine and she shouts "Muhammad!", does every kid stop what they're doing and look at her?

    2) Why did your prophet Muhammad say that eating bacon is disgusting and dirty, yet recommend drinking camel urine?

    3) How many dinars or rupees or whatever the hell you use over there, does it cost to enroll your six-year-old in Suicide Bomber School?

Thank you. I hope we can build a bridge of understanding between our blessed civilization and your backwards, unGodly ways.

What hurtful and Eurocentric things you people are saying. Haven't you heard the saying about religion that all rivers lead to the ocean? Mother/Father God is too big to fit into one hegemonic paradigm.
The Bible, when correctly interpreted, tells us to love everyone.

Tomorrow is Jesus's Birthday and i think MO should be given the boot until the 26TH. Seems insulting letting him show up and post on the eve of this great event.

Where in your Bible does Jesus ever say "I am God"?
Surah 4:169 O people of the Book! do not exceed in your religion, nor say against God aught save the truth. The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, is but the apostle of God ... say not "Trinity." Desist! it will be better for you. God is only one God, far be it for Him that He should beget a Son!

Yes, I've heard that particular myth. According to Is-lame-ic teachings, God revealed the Torah to the Jews, who corrupted it; then He revealed the Gospel to the Christians, who corrupted it; and finally He revealed the Qur'an to the Muslims and managed to keep them from corrupting it. In other words, mooselimbs believe that God took three times to get it right. We believe that God could and did preserve His revelation from the beginning.

Well there is no actual verse in itself where "Then Jesus said 'I am God'", but it is quite clear from the Scriptures that Jesus is God and has claimed so.

John 1:1 - In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.. 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,

                    1 Tim. 3:16
And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.

Jesus said it clearly enough that His listeners knew what He was saying:

John 8:58-59: Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am. Then took they up stones to cast at him: but Jesus hid himself, and went out of the temple, going through the midst of them, and so passed by.

Note that He didn't say, "I was," but "I am." Who referred to Himself as "I am"? If His listeners didn't catch His drift, why did they try to stone Him?

Reverend Osborne, let me ask you something. Who wrote those that Jesus(pbuh) was God? It wasn't God who said that and it wasn't Jesus(pbuh) so then who was it? And why would anyone listen to the writings of mere men when God Himself has told us in the Qu'ran that Jesus(pbuh) was just a prophet and there is only ONE God.
