"And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance."

its even king james

this explains that after the second covenant, Christ's death on the cross for us, we are no longer bound by the laws of the first covenant (the old testament), and are redeemed of the transgressions that were under the first testament.

in other words all of the passages that you quote in the old testament saying that people are going to hell because they have long hair or can't have tattoos are proven irrelevant by this passage.


i have also seen it posted numerous times on this forum that it is ok for a man to have more than one wife... but read this verse:

1 Corinthians 7:2

“Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.”


pretty plain to me. each man has a wife, each woman has a husband.

The prohibition of long hair is in the New Testament. In Old Testament times, in fact, you were allowed to have long hair, if you were a Nazarite.

last i knew according to Ephesians 4:4 the church is one body under Christ

So instead of embracing these unsaved and loving them and showing them the right path in a loving way, why do you people insist on casting them out like lepers?

so if you are a Christian of any race, you are equal, which to me is kind of a no brainer...

and look at Colossians 3:9-11, it says it even better

"And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all."
