As a young icelandic man and an athiest, i would like to atleast attempt to defend the honor of my people.
(1) This show is derived from an old play where Magnus Scheving and a full cast of ADULTS played all the roles. However when he globalized this show, he was forced to hire a childto play the role of Stephanie, as 3 adults and a bunch of puppets running around wouldn't have gained any recognition amongst the audience he and the company were looking for.
(2)I can tell you, as i have met the man myself, that he is a greedy and gluttonous man who cares for nothing but monetary gain and he has now bailed out on the icelandic people. But i do not believe that he is a pedophile. He remains innocent until his guilt is proven.
(3)Lazy Town is the name of the show as the town in the show was filled with lazy people before Sportacus arrives and he reinforces positive behavior in the town, by encouraging them to exercise and eat healthier.
(4)As to the fact that all athiests and pagans will burn in hell i would like to point out that the original and famous image of hell and it's 9 circles of punishment, as written by the famous florentine poet, and lifelong catholic christian (and yes i know you are not catholics) Dante Alighieri states that athiests and pagans who live out their lives in a respectable and regretful life (as in regretting their mistakes and sins) shall forever live in Limbo, the first and most lenient circle of hell that is a grey and joyless image of heaven.
(5) To not care about the well-being of others, regardless of nationality or religion is in reality racist.
(6) I am an athiest because i can't respect a god who does not simply ask me too believe in him, but attempts to bully me into worshipping him. I definately do believe that there is something supernatural and beatiful out there that we cannot fully understand at this period in time.
and finally, the catholic church is the original church of god, founded by Jesus' most trusted friend and disciple Peter. How can his story possibly be worse than yours. What i believe is the basis of your judgement is the fact that alot of members of this church have lost their way.
In the end i just want to ask you to please not judge my entire country or "religion"(as athiesm is really the absence of religon) for what an isolated group of people, past or present have done. Right now the world is in a difficult place where everyone needs to stand together and help each other out.
