Whom which only wished to control the masses for their own gains and used the perfect tool, religion, a pathetic attempt to comfort people about their fears of the unknown in the universe and to justify discrimination, racism, violence and countless crimes against humanity as some omnipotent god's innocent will. I strongly believe that not every aspect of religion is pure evil, as it teaches some good morals, but morals and religion have no ties, as strong ethics exist in many with mine or similar views, religion is just the spawn of fear, fear of death, fear of other cultures, fear of lacking answers to great questions, just pure fear. The heart of discrimination and violence has always been brought to light through religion more than anything else in history, so much damage, so much rape, torture and death in the name of non existent gods. You people are worse than an animal who only kills to sustain its own life, you kill with malice and glee just look at this emoticon:, you sicken me, I would gladly sacrifice my own morals if I could kill every single one of you brain washed fools to stop the endless cycle of violence. Though i doubt crimes against humanity will ever cease to exist, the abolishment of religion would be a leap towards that goal, as long as it exists, there will be prejudice against those with different views than your own, so you pick up your bible and your rifles and you genocide the masses. Im just speaking what I believe, like all of you, it isnt that nice when someone tells you that you are wrong and doesn't want to hear your views isn't it? and as far as starting off with a personal attack means you have 0 intelligence, isn't that what your church does right off the bat when they encounter people of different faiths? • What do you base your knowledge on? Which scientific or Biblical evidence do you present?
• Why do you state it's meaningless? We find it VERY meaningful. Are you telling us how we should feel?
• Why do you expect people to change their religion just because some stranger tells hem so? We'd just flip-flop from one religion to the next depending on the strangers we meet.
• What are you trying to save us from? As an atheist, you believe there is no Heaven or Hell to fear. Be more specific.
• Are you willing to defend your arguments rationally or do you just cry "you're stupid!!!" whenever someone disagrees with you? Since you think a personal attack constitutes a valid argument, you do not appear to grasp rational debate.

Ok so lets take this in a direction where we can have somewhat of a conversation. A little Q & A if you will, sure I came off pretty strong but I am now pretty curious to know how your beliefs effect your moral compass. So it is pretty clear that we have complete opposite views on religion as a whole. The whole reason I came here was that I was amazed at the post from brother_percy regarding that girl who was raped, I found his views on the situation to be very twisted, that the girl was not the victim. I'm not even going to touch on that just yet, just saying what brought me here.

Ok so the world is full or sinners and non-believers, whom which you considered mentally retarded right? Ok, so im running with your logic here for a moment, I would assume that you would all love the world to follow your branch of christainity right? Not that that is your goal, but you would like that. Obviously you would try to convert everyone and show them your way, but for the people whom it consistently falls on deaf ears, what should you do with them? For example, you sent a large number of missionaries to the middle east or asia, many are secure in their faith and will see you as a threat. Would you ever use violence for your cause, if they stood in the way of your goal (but were not violent towards you)? On a similar note, whats your opinions on the third crusade? I'm keeping this open to all religions, I know it wasn't you guys doing the crusades..

Though others may be retards and sinners, are they not still people, at core, religion a side, is everyone not the same but condition in their morality by their upbringing? Maybe you are not all cut from the same cloth as brother_percy seems to be.
