Friend, my wife died 2 years ago. In a horrible accident. We had been married for 20 years.

Apology accepted. But if I may: I actually don't "hate" gays, and I don't make funnies about them. Sure, my faith tells me in no uncertain terms that they are doomed, and although that makes me sad, I have to follow God's rules.
