Hello, friends. My name is Zachary Trenton. I live in a place called Melbourne, Australia. I am 24 years old and over the past few months I guess you could say I have been looking for answers.
I was never really introduced to Christianity during my childhood, I guess if I had to label my upbringing/my parents' beliefs it would be agnostic.
Anyway, it just happened by chance that I picked up a Bible (KJV) several months ago and started reading, more out of boredom and curiosity than anything. I quickly became intrigued with everything that I read, and couldn't seem to get enough!
Fast forward to a few weeks ago, after deciding to devote the rest of my life to bringing glory to God and warning others of the impending peril they faced lest they repent and do the same, I visited a few churches around my area. After leaving each church I was saddened at the state of these so-called "Christians". It quickly became apparent to me that these people were not living their lives the way that the Word of God maps out for us. It seemed to me that they all had "watered down" the God-inspired Scripture to fit in with their values, labelling passages they didn't find to be convenient as "cultural" and therefore ignorable. I found this incredibly disheartening.
So, as of yet, I have not yet found a place of worship but am determined to do so. In the meantime I am overjoyed to have found this community where I feel the Bible is upheld as it should be, and followed unwaveringly. Anyway, this has become quite an essay, so I will not bore you with any more of my ramblings! Suffice to say I am looking forward to learning a bunch from the wonderfully Godly members of this community!
