Heya there.

I'm not sure where to start exactly, so I will just offer that I'm here to kind of test the waters for religion in and of itself; I by no means am here to flame people or what have you, and I accept whole-heartedly that the people here will obviously have drastically different opinions than I. Well, I'd love to learn about these opinions and have some intelligent discussion with people that are obviously very well-versed with their faith and very in-touch with their god.

I'm not sure what the harsh welcome was about, but I'd also enjoy making friends here. I hear there are plenty of atheists here, but surely there are also true Christians that enjoy a bit of Dream Theater, Rush, maybe some Winds and Masterplan?

This is a Christian forum. The unsaved are not welcome here. We are not even slightly interested in your unsaved opinions or advice. Do not post links to your favorite satanic music and so on, or you will be asked to leave.

If you keep a respectful tongue in your head and work hard to accept Jesus, then you'll be allowed to stay. If you want to learn more abour our doctrines, THIS is the best thread to start with.

I was very sure to read that prior to joining. It was stated here that I was welcome to sit in, so to speak, and take a peek at how your faith works to learn more about it; I only wish to maintain an air of peace about this forum and I wouldn't purposely mean to make anyone feel hated or misunderstood. However, my acceptance of Jesus as my savior is another question for another day.

I'm afraid that's something I simply will not do until I am at better understanding with all my options. I want to fill the niche that feels most like I am meant to fill it before I start acting like I'm already part of another niche, if you know where I'm coming from.

Not a clue. I am quite sure about where you are heading though: Hell!

Why it is very important to avoid hell (you are heading straight for it at the moment): Psalm 9:17 "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." Mark 9:43 "And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off: it is better for thee to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched"
