  • Greetings to everyone!

My name is Sister Shadow. For those who could not tell, I'm new to this forum. I certainly hope that I will make plenty of friends here. If, however, I make enemies instead, it wouldn't be the first time. I can be misunderstood every now and then.

    Farewell for now, Landover.

    We've all been there:
Luke 6:22 Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

Why don't you tell us a little about yourself. Are you Saved? What church do you go to? What's your favorite Bible verse?

    Pastor Billy-Reuben
Upon request I will cite scripture for all these facts in God's Holy Word.

✝ This is a Christian community and we worship GOD of the Holy bible, the only Living GOD. We worship Jesus Christ, Son of GOD and Savior. Anything else is absurd. ✝

Have you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior? Do you believe that he died temporarily on the cross to save you from your sins? Do you own a King James version 1611 Bible? How often do you read it?

Do you separate yourself from unclean persons and stay away from sinners? ...

1st Corinthians 5:11 But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat.

1st Corinthians 10:20 But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.

2nd Corinthians 6:14 Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?
... if so, you are on the right track, praise! Sister Noddy

        1st Timothy 2: 9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;
1st Timothy 2: 10 But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works ...

1 Timothy 5: 16 If any man or woman that believeth have widows, let them relieve them, and let not the church be charged; that it may relieve them that are widows indeed ...

Proverbs 31: 26 She openeth her mouth with wisdom; and in her tongue is the law of kindness ...
Proverbs 31: 27 She looketh well to the ways of her household, and eateth not the bread of idleness ...

I kind of guessed that from the fact that it says "Join date: Sep 2007. Post count: 1" next to your name, but nevermind. Other than that, Billy-Reuben and Noddy have said pretty much all that needs to be said on this subject.
O Lord our God, help us to tear their soldiers to bloody shreds with our shells; help us to cover their smiling fields with the pale forms of their patriot dead; help us to drown the thunder of the guns with the shrieks of their wounded, writhing in pain; help us to lay waste their humble homes with a hurricane of fire; help us to wring the hearts of their unoffending widows with unavailing grief; help us to turn them out roofless with little children to wander unfriended the wastes of their desolated land in rags and hunger and thirst, sports of the sun flames of summer and the icy winds of winter, broken in spirit, worn with travail, imploring Thee for the refuge of the grave and denied it--for our sakes who adore Thee, Lord, blast their hopes, blight their lives, protract their bitter pilgrimage, make heavy their steps, water their way with their tears, stain the white snow with the blood of their wounded feet! We ask it, in the spirit of love, of Him Who is the Source of Love, and Who is the ever-faithful refuge and friend of all that are sore beset and seek His aid with humble and contrite hearts. Amen.

God being truth, justice, goodness, beauty, power, and life, man is falsehood, iniquity, evil, ugliness, impotence, and death. God being master, man is the slave. Incapable of finding justice, truth, and eternal life by his own effort, he can attain them only through a divine revelation... he who desires to worship God must harbor no childish illusions about the matter, but bravely renounce his liberty and humanity.

I know, but not everybody pays close attention to that kind of stuff.

As for the Bible, I don't have my own full copy of the KJV1611 yet (although I did check one out of my school library). I do, however, have a little pocket-sized version of the New Testament (still the KJV version).
I will be getting money sometime within the next week or so, and when I do, I will head straight for the nearest bookstore and buy my own copy.

Bad idea. When you get the money go straight to the PayPal button at the bottom of the page and demonstrate your sincerity to Jesus. That way, when you go to the book store, you can be assured Jesus will be watching over you with a warm embrace and welcoming heart. Unless of course you cheat Him out of what is rightfully His. In those instances He has been know to kill people where they stand.

Jesus provides free KJV 1611 on line so as Brother Deaner cautions; tithe first. For the sake of your soul you need to get your priorities strait. Also the New Testament is not enough. You need the Old Testament to understand God's FULL message.

I certainly understand that, but I would like to read the (entire) Bible without worrying about whether or not it's due back at the library or being within feet of a computer with internet access.

Tithing is important friend. Let us put is this way; how many Terrorist tithe to Jesus church? Do you really want to be with the (non-tithing) Terrorists who blow up little babies? Just call the church hot line and Deacon Sam Harris will have you set up right with Christ.

Think of it this way, Sister Shadow, ask yourself, "Am I JESUS material?" Have we got another soul for Jesus? Be sure to do everything exactly as the Godly pastors tell you, and no cheating! Jesus hates a cheater. Praise!

I should have my bank account set up by next week and I believe I have enough to tithe and buy my own Bible, even though I have a lot of other things coming out of that one check.
Perhaps I can set up a savings account just for tithing.

Don't forget that Jesus expects a minimum of 10% of your GROSS earnings if you're normal.

Lev 27:32 And concerning the tithe of the herd, or of the flock, [even] of whatsoever passeth under the rod, the tenth shall be holy unto the LORD.

Num 18:26 Thus speak unto the Levites, and say unto them, When ye take of the children of Israel the tithes which I have given you from them for your inheritance, then ye shall offer up an heave offering of it for the LORD, [even] a tenth [part] of the tithe.

And if you're poor, Jesus wants every cent you have.

Mark 12:41 And Jesus sat over against the treasury, and beheld how the people cast money into the treasury: and many that were rich cast in much. Mark 12:42 And there came a certain poor widow, and she threw in two mites, which make a farthing. Mark 12:43 And he called unto him his disciples, and saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That this poor widow hath cast more in, than all they which have cast into the treasury: Mark 12:44 For all they did cast in of their abundance; but she of her want did cast in all that she had, even all her living.
Don't worry, He'll reward you later. Cough it up now. Don't rob God.
                          Who Will Jesus Damn?

Here is a partial list from just a few scripture verses:

Hypocrites (Matthew 24:51), The Unforgiving (Mark 11:26), Homosexuals (Romans 1:26, 27), Fornicators (Romans 1:29), The Wicked (Romans 1:29), The Covetous (Romans 1:29), The Malicious (Romans 1:29), The Envious (Romans 1:29), Murderers (Romans 1:29), The Deceitful (Romans 1:29), Backbiters (Romans 1:30), Haters of God (Romans 1:30), The Despiteful (Romans 1:30), The Proud (Romans 1:30), Boasters (Romans 1:30), Inventors of evil (Romans 1:30), Disobedient to parents (Romans 1:30), Covenant breakers (Romans 1:31), The Unmerciful (Romans 1:31), The Implacable (Romans 1:31), The Unrighteous (1Corinthians 6:9), Idolaters (1Corinthians 6:9), Adulterers (1Corinthians 6:9), The Effeminate (1Corinthians 6:9), Thieves (1Corinthians 6:10), Drunkards (1Corinthians 6:10), Reviler (1Corinthians 6:10), Extortioners (1Corinthians 6:10), The Fearful (Revelation 21:8), The Unbelieving (Revelation 21:8), The Abominable (Revelation 21:8), Whoremongers (Revelation 21:8), Sorcerers (Revelation 21:8), All Liars (Revelation 21:8)
